I haven't been able to find any sort of information on the existence of a Discord server for SC2Mapster or any kind of StarCraft 2 mapping/modding community. So I took it upon myself to create one. IRC is nice and all, but Discord is very accessible and has plenty of nifty features.
Somewhat like that, yeah. Some of the benefits of Discord include voice chat, chat history (including for people that weren't there to receive them), and sub-channels (So far, one for chatting, one for asking for help, and one for recruiting people to test your map).
Hey, just bumping this thread. THere's a good amount of people on the discord.
the great thing about it, it has multiple chat rooms. SO, we can have a "chat" room, and an assistance room, and a testing room. Not to mention, it has voice chat, although no one has used it yet i think.
Another thing is that the chat doesn't disappear. IE, you can ask a question when no one is on, and when someone gets on that might know it, they can answer, and you can see it when you get back on.
not ot mention, it has great mobile apps! Looking forward to more people joining. PS, we need someone good with actors to help answer a question for this guy :D

Adding another bump! Discord is really helpful, would like to see the mapster channel grow.
advertising for kids to use discord is thoughtless at best, endangering them at worst.
sc2 is a gaming platform, granted adults may be supervising what kids do with the computer they use.. but i doubt it is the rule of thumb.
Discord is not a kid's tool it is an adult app, supervision is impossible on it.. thinking kids or their un-invested parents/tutors will realize this is apathetically wrong!

Discord Invitation Link
You can chat, ask for help, and recruit people to test maps.
If you're a moderator and would like the added responsibility, feel free to send me a PM with your Discord name and tag and I can promote you.
@Alzarath: Go
so is Discord like a IRC server and you created a #sc2mapster chatroom?

Formally Kinkycactus
hi.. sorry to porridge your party
i feel compelled to point out that discord is not for kids..
it is a phone service and not an irc..
use it at your own leisure, but please don't misrepresent it
.. don't say it is free / for everyone / for everything..that just isn't true
