This week a simple subject based on an idea by DrSuperEvil. The idea of the theme, "Toxicity", is that you build some kind of 'toxic' terrain. Be it a lagoon or a completely corrupted forest, the details are up to you. Just try not to do a generic Deadman's Port city.
Remember you can use custom tilesets/water texture/retexured doodads.
There is sludgewater, aciddeath2 and pipgroundbigsewage as just some gunky textures. Several others can be made to look toxic combining with the Set Tint Color event action.

A destroyed city filled with toxic fog..along with a colony (those metal buildings and the ship) that are seeking to leave the planet behind, there's a crater with an alien artifact that represents a message sent by a super intelligent race telling humans that there are worlds with habitability for humans so we were inspired to go to them.
and for those wondering how it came to an end (turns out the world just kept on turning)...i have no idea, can't really think of anything creative so we'll just go with basics such as: Nuclear warfare, over pollution, or comet hit.
one of the pictures is just a top view of the map.
It's pretty cool and well done. You have a great fog effect. However you like the the kind of door used to do the houses. Maybe to many copy and paste? Oh and, if this is after a nuclear warfare or is a kind of dead city and such... why are there still Blimp flying ?
oh yeah...the blimps I don't know what those are doing there was not paying attention to them haha i think i put those there for search units for any survivors i don't remember.
I've already heard that song from my brother. It not my music style at all, but it's still a very awesome song. =D However, this isn't a terrain!!! Create your own Toxicity, listen to the lyrics, recreate it, do whatever you want haha, this is our world; "anything, whatever, no matter."
Note to Mozared, we haven't done a Halloween theme at all this year? I know this "toxic" theme could be related to halloween in some ways but, it's not focussed on it. Oh and I just got about 1/3 full of candies of a pillow slip. I've passed with 2 friends and one of them keep saying that you cannot refuse to get free candies and that there is no rules or laws on the age required to pass the halloween. So, we had fun and got alot of candies hahaha.
Nice submission there! Your town's a bit blank, especially on the ground, but your fog does a really nice job of hiding all the bland and bad areas of your terrain, providing us with a pretty picture.
Hmm, yeah, I guess I did miss halloween. Wasn't intentional - it's just that we don't really celebrate it here in the Netherlands and the whole thing vaguely passes me by. When does it end? Can we still do it next week?
Technically it ends 31 october, but it's still ok to do it next week for the WTE, haha ;) It's me or time have passed really fast? I feel like if I had done my last year halloween wte yesterday. It was the kind of house made of scaled rocks with fire and tree's shadow on the road...
I was following the WTE's for quite some time now and finally decided
to try it out. Though i hadn't much time ( ca. 2 hours ) i managed to create a little
.. i don't really know what it is supposed to be ... to show it to you guys :)
Hello and welcome! I quite like that - you've got what's virtually a custom building with a poisonous/sick theme to it. My comments would be this;
-See if you can make the white parking space lines a little bit more vague by reducing the HDR or even changing their colour to be more gray. That'd fit them in with the theme a little bit more.
-The side area of the building (in between the drainage pipe T-split and the parking spot) seem a bit empty. Perhaps you can have some plants/dark vines growing up against the side of the building there, or add some moss or bushes.
-Overall some moss, bushes and/or scrub around the area would be nice as well. Don't go overboard or you'll lose that 'sickly' look, but some non-tree kind of plants growing close to pipes, walls and trees should improve the look of your terrain.
Weekly Terraining Exercise #102
Hey there!

Good luck, have fun!

Thanks for the advise, i will keep that in mind :)
What happened to the blatant abuse of green from the 1980's?

It should be coming back, it takes 20-30 years for an older cultural period to be romanticized and worshipped.
Jeez, I wish I had the time to terrain. I'm a bit busy though.
