Some units, like the mothership that slowly spins in circles, have ongoing idle animations. How might I increase the speeds of such animation?

I assume you mean the actor msg type: "Set Time Scale Global" as this is the msg that comes closest to what you advised. For this msg type, I also have to include a "Label" like stand or BSD, I'm unsure which to go with
