minute 06:50,my suggestion is to use that evocation animation beacuase is really great and do a black or grid plan on that hole on the robotic facility,these are random suggestions,don't know if they could look weird,and remember to don't waste time on death animation,we don't need it and i think is really painfull to do a custom death animation
That grid looks weird,the improvements at the model instead are nice,like the hole improvement,personally i think that the grids are really hard to replicate and doesn't have sense with the sc2 style,so we should use the model on his final version and you will mantain the warp-in effect that you can see on the video that i posted
If you look at the protoss logo you can see the exagonal grids that looks really great,so my suggestion is to don't use metallic grid that you want to do and to use that texture of exagonal grids so we can also use the logo on the structure,just suggestion :)
What it needs now is a grapple/hook that comes from the upper Khaydarin crystal and orientated onto the grid.
