SC EXPANDED
SC Expanded adds variety to the standard melee maps. Players can affiliate to a faction (or brood, tribe), unlocking exclusive units, structures and abilities. It uses many units and abilities seen in SC2 campaigns, but many more were created for this mod. Many "useless" units got a new role and are available for players.

Join the official thread to report bugs and post your suggestions. We are constantly trying to improve our gameplay. There is also an SC Expanded group on Battlenet where you can find players.
This extension mod is available in the "Custom Games" section of Battle.net and is published on NA, EU and KR servers. Search for 'expanded' when browsing for extension mods and have fun.
Selecting a Terran faction:
WARNING: This mod requires the Left 2 Die mod as a dependency, which means that if you test it offline you may experience some errors if you don't have the mod in your Starcraft mods folder. Extract all the mods to your mods folder and test them using the map included.
@T0ssWarr1or: Go Most of the assets are found elsewhere and are free to use. Most models weren't made by me. So you're free to use the assets as long as you give credit to the correct authors. The assets for each race are in separated mod files so you can use them as dependency without the data changes. The only exceptions are the icons in the main mod file, those I created for my mod and not at are free to use, the free ones can be found in the assets section.
And for using the mod itself I'd rather have you join the official thread and post ideas there. Players are allowed to publish their maps using this mod, and some of them make minor changes to the tech tree structures, but if you're planning major changes we can discuss it via PMs.

I've been working on a map that adds in new races and factions for a while now. I just came across this project and was wondering if I could use StarCraft: Expanded assets in my custom map. Do you consider using this mod and expanding even further on it fair use?
@thomulf: Go Yes it is fixed. But sadly my EU publisher can't fix some problems that prevent him from upddating the mod so I can't say when the EU version will be fixed.
Overlords cannot spawn, critical bug! if its already fixed please upload the fix to EU
@seanybabyx2: Go You can find it in SC2 folders. I don't remember if it's in the Units/Terran/ folder or somewhere else.

Where did you get the laser drill tank model. This is sweet. I could definitely use it in my map.
U could add a load screen like this but with all your factions :)

@LeeGall: Go Well, I'll check the ladder pool. I sent you a PM. I uploaded Cloud Kingdom today to NA. I had lans to upload it to the beta arcade as well, but that thing is full of bugs so I still have to fix what the editor broke in my mod.
@SoulFilcher: Go Anything that are in the ladder pool or are used by GSL would be great. But please, do it fast I want to play the mod :)
@LeeGall: Go Well, since I'm not a competitive melee player myself, I don't know the maps melee players like the most.
Feel free to suggest maps. If epople like Cloud KIngdom then I can add it to the list.
Hey Soul Filcher, I want to say that this mod is really awesome but there's no way to play it with the current maps. I did like to ask you if I have permission to upload a more competitive map (such as Cloud Kingdom) with your mod as dependency.

@oakway: Go Have you placed it in the right folder? The mod has to be in your Starcraft2/Mods folder, if its there and still not working try opening the map file in the editor, go File -> Dependencies and where it says SC Expanded, change it and search for the mod in that folder.

This is really cool. It sort of reminds me of Age of Empires and Age of Mythology. I can't wait to see this evolve when HotS comes out.

@DEFILERRULEZ: Go I'm not sure I understand what you want with an "sc2+bw" choice. The mod was designed so players don't have access to lots of units at once. In special some units thay may strongly overlap in their roles or that simply become OP when used together.
I don't see a good reason to make it possible to have Dragoons and Stalkers in the same army.
EDIT: Please post bug reports, balance issues and suggestions/ideas using the feedback thread (check my signature).
A suggestion for this really interesting project. What do u think about add a SC2+BW choiche for all race,it's the first time that i could see Dragoons vs Stalkers,could be really cool do an army of Zealot/Sentry/Dragoon/Stalker at the Start for example :)
@DEFILERRULEZ: Go L2D Stank is still being studied. I'll check the language issue with the F12 menu.
The F12 menĂ¹ is broken (i see onlyPARAM/VALUE/ etc...) on online EU
What do u think about a Khala tribe-Dark (Templar) tribe and a shadow tribe (as the one with the hybrid).
