    Is there any way to view and edit the changes that mods make without examing the entire data editor pool? I'm not looking to take credit for anyone's work, just to work SC1 units into maps for my friends and I because I simply don't know how to put them in.

    Just to clarify, this isn't any kind of sc2 campaign remake, it's just a map that has campaign stuff and is different from standard melee.

    Hey I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to play my custom game with me. It's pretty standard, similar to the campaign missions, except it also includes some sc1 units. My friends who normally play these with me never play anymore so I'm going out on a limb here.

    Post or PM if interested in trying it out, and keep in mind it may take a couple hours. Also it's basically a step above Brutal in terms of difficulty so if you're good and looking for a challenge that might kick your ass, this is it.

    The only thing it says I can do is order all units in UNIT GROUP to SMART COMMAND (Replace existing orders) Can't change the last part into any kind of targeting.

    For 'units in region' I don't know if you're referring to "units in region matching condition", "units in region with alliance to player", or "units in unit group within region" but that's okay because none of them work.

    Yeah that doesn't really help, lol...I see something about smart commands but that is the only action and anything that says bunker is just about unloading them. Also if you had to do it 1 unit at a time, that's super retarded.

    Are you supposed to make a tiny region with 6 marines in it and then somehow order all units in region X ? And then it just says "to Smart Command (replace existing orders)" There's nothing else to do after you tell them to Smart Command...lol

    I appreciate how the SC1 editor takes 2 seconds to do this and it's like not possible for SC2....

    They can't be the same player/color using multiple races. Melee AI makes them choose from random scripts designed for each race, and they will only pick one, probably whichever spot the start location is on, and the others will just be used to harvest.

    If you're using different colors, then you just have to make sure the start locations are appropriately placed, and check the player settings. If they are a Terran Computer with Zerg units, they will just harvest forever, because they cant execute any Terran scripts.

    Also make sure you aren't playing in test mode. Computers tend to do nothing in test mode - you need to publish it.

    If all of that is in order and it still doesn't work, then I'm not sure. It could also be a dependency issue. If you want you could send me your map and I'll just make sure the AI is building then send it back.

    Well helping would be relaying any past experiences you or anyone else may have.

    Anyways, turns out the problem was putting too many "no pathing" (foot circles) on the map. I deleted all of them and it is perfectly fine. Seems pretty asinine to me but that's what ruined my game...so beware of the evil feet circles...

    So my map worked fine through several edits and plays, and I changed some more stuff, and now, after 10 sec or so it just drops to 5 FPS and you cannot place any buildings or harvest minerals, it just all says 'invalid location'.

    I have no idea what is wrong, please halp =x

    posted a message on SC1 mod for SC2 multiplayer?

    Well, I've made a lot of progress. Messing with the dependencies did help. I also had to mess with the trigger-starting button you get in-game. I still have a couple problems...

    1. Valkyries don't work. Just...don't work. Their weapon is listed as "Hellstorm missiles" from the hellstorm missile battery talent. The problem is this also gives the ability to all turrets, which is only supposed to do 1 damage when on a turret. The weird part is it does no damage on the Valkyrie. It fires the series of rockets and does zero damage to friend or foe units. They're also used to replace the Hel's Angel merc unit, which is okay I suppose, but it doesn't make them properly from the starport and will only buy 2 at a time, and when I buy a wraith, it also buys a Valkyrie, but it's not even listed on the command card in the data editor.

    2. The computer doesn't know how to make Guardians. The data says it just changed the mutalisk morph from brood lords to guardians, so it seemed relatively simple and plug-and-play like, but it just doesn't add either one to the attack wave. They also won't make Dragoons and somehow get defaulted to Stalkers. I did get them to make Lurkers though.

    Anyone have some insight on these issues?
