This has been going on for a few days now and it's irksome. We're having issues trying to upload, it continuously fails and has only worked updating on the EU server. Is anyone able to fix this?

posted a message on Request: Special Forces The Fight for Aiur.

I was going to create this map several months back, but upon looking at the editor, let alone trying to make sense of it, I stopped. I think it's time we have a new special forces map added to the mix. In every special forces map we have out there that's any good, it's always against the Zerg. With LotV announced and teased at yesterday, we need a fight against the evil abyss that is coming. Oblivion awaits and the end of the SC trilogy as well. We need a map where Protoss fight against the Hybrid and Amon, fighting campaign units such as Narud. Alliances that could be formed with people like Infested Stukov.

Special forces maps now aren't what they used to be. They've declined in skill needed to play and win, and have added so many OP units with all of these abilities that just don't belong in a map like this. I'm looking for someone to take the fight to the Hybrid, with normal armies and units like it should be. A great war is upon us, are we going to stand and watch it fall to ruin, or take back what is rightfully ours?

Alright, I'll start here by saying I'm not exactly sure what the game is called. I'll do my best to list some of the features of the map in hopes that someone can tell me what it was called and maybe remake it.

Features: -Anywhere from 8-16 different and unique heroes in which level up through killing enemies, structures, creep and from duels -A duel that takes place every few minutes, randomly selected units from each team, both teams have the function to vote for who they think will win and how much they're willing to bet -Unique spells for each hero -A shop in the middle of the map in which you could buy waves of units for certain costs, such as arbiters, carriers, scouts, wraiths, goliaths, etc. -Unique and difficult bosses like Ragnarok that gave massive income and boosts -Different waves of creep, starting with I believe lings, then hydras and then finally scouts -The objective is to kill the enemies main base -Upgrades for heroes and the creep as in damage and what not

Does anyone know of the map I'm talking about and would be willing to undertake it?

posted a message on Concept: Random Unit Wars-Random Properties

Just a game that's been wandering about in my head, and I've decided to finally post it on here so maybe someone can pick it up, and make this idea a reality.

So here's the idea, the basic PvP format, or possible team format in which individuals are given or have chosen a random unit from a round to round basis. During which, the unit isn't given the typical characteristics and properties that it would normally have. For example, a colossus with burrow, or a queen with cloak, or say a zergling with prismatic beams. Something that would keep people on their toes, exploring their creativity and tackling the biggest challenge: the unknown. I'm envisioning an arena, where 4-5 participants per round fight, each with 1-2 units containing 1-2 abilities from other units (outside of just detector abilities). An arena with endless possibilities, with high ground, and shrubbery to hide in. Different lighting fixtures for different time increments within the arena. Or even an elimination chamber type of situation, in which every given 30 seconds or so a new participant enters.

This is something that I'd honestly want to play, and would look forward to the challenge. There could even be weekly or daily tournaments in which people participate and the best of the best, those who can master the unknown, can really shine.

It doesn't seem too difficult to make, and I would LOVE for someone to take on this project and let the community have a blast, with an all new and original concept, that makes arcade more challenging.

    Anyone up for the challenge?

posted a message on Game concept: Frogger (LONG & Creative)

We all remember the good old days of playing the game Frogger at the arcade, or at home, trying to make it across the street without being hit by a car. You could play this game with friends, it was fun, competitive and could give you a few good laughs. This game could easily be among the top played, if not the top played. Several levels, difficulties, perspectives to watch from, abilities to save your fellow frogs, and level up as you go. You can take one for the team, sacrifice for the team, or be stranded and flattened on the street.

Looking for an experienced mapmaker who has the same vision for this game as I do, and can make this game a hit like it was back then. The game and concept are by me, so it'd be great if the maker could keep in contact with me and bounce ideas off of each other. Below are ideas/concepts that should be in the game.

Hellions as cars, they're not too big, not too small, and have good speed (like a typical four door car these days). Hellions seem the be the right route to me, and they're terran (human) which makes more sense to have them in the game.

Tanks as semis AND/OR a transport unit, these larger units provide more difficulty as they're nearly twice the width of a hellion, and they're slower units (like semis).

Drunk drivers, this is practical in a sense that you'd come across a drunk driver at least once in your life out on the road. They're unpredictable, swerving side to side, sometimes crashing into other cars, sometimes spinning out of control or turning sideways.

Grandma/Grandpa drivers, We're all familiar with it, the stereotype which usually holds true, old people drive slow. Sometimes 5-10MPH under the speed limit and you're stuck waiting for them to pass, or waiting for them to finally get out of the way.

Lead foot/Drag racers, we're familiar with those who like to speed, sometimes over the limit and flying down the highway or side streets, making it dangerous to all on the road. Accidents happen, sometimes they end up in a ditch, or fly off the road into a tree.

Vultures, it's the circle of life, animals are born, killed, eaten and reproduce. Who could turn down a tasty snack on the side of the road? Birds/vultures could be a creative way of making this game more fun and unpredictable. Hide for your life and watch as your fellow frog friends try to escape, or a picked up and eaten. Push your friends out in the open and make them take one for the team.

First person mode, look at the road from a different perspective, a frogs perspective. Low and to the ground, with limited visibility. Take the game to a new extreme with a new difficulty.

Give me a tongue!, the idea that you can revive a squashed frog friend by launching your tongue out and pulling them in to safety. However, this should have limited range (say a half a lane, or one lane).

Smart cars, we live in a more environmentally friendly world now, with smart cars becoming more and more popular, they're tiny, great on gas mileage, and are half the size of a typical four door car.

Roadkill, that's right, roadkill. We've all seen it, usually more than once in a long distance travel, especially on streets near the forest or ponds. Cars try to avoid running over these animals and swerve out of the way in order to keep their cars clean and from being damaged.

Trash trucks/UPS/buses, urban, suburban, wherever you are, there are going to be trash trucks, they stop on the street for a short period of time, move and stop again. We also see the same with UPS trucks, they're legally allowed to stop along main roads in order to deliver a package, backing up traffic behind them. They're large vehicles, bigger than an SUV or hummer, and take up a lot of room in length.

Lighting/weather elements, It could be morning, night, the afternoon, or come time of sunset, the lighting is always different. Some days there is fog, snowy, other days rainy, a cloudy overcast, or bright sun that's blinding. These all effect drivers, and should effect the frogs as well.

This is my original idea and concept, SCMaster was going to pick this up before family issues came up. Looking for someone to make this happen :)
