i think if you send a pm to mr flamecuriousgeorges, he will add it to the list of "important but not urgent" things to do.
i'm quite sure those numbers are available to be re set in somewhere.. the rep n° is there and it would make sense to have a reward system (on user page/profile (for instance) if it is too much work to do it on/for every post) that allows for giving points.
Right now you can't give rep points.. again, send a pm and ask for that to be "important not urgent" and it will get implemented.
i never liked rep points but i found it a quick way for people to "assess" posters.. as moz elequently put it: it is street cred! and if it serves mapster to have it, i'd vote for having it back too.
