The people on B-net(EU) are far to dumb to even realize correct contra incorrect grammar anyways?

My map have sloppy dialogs, as they are just placeholders, but from all the feedback I've ever gotten, no person have ever reported anything about the grammatical state of the map. I believe there is an unwritten rule on the EU server that states it's okay, or fine, to have bad grammar.

You wont get the idea of the general public by asking in here. You should decide yourself if you want to use your time on it, we cannot tell you how successful it will be right now. If you can make it as good as the one for SC1 (I would not include SC1 units btw.), then it's "just" about overcoming the pop-system.

posted a message on Why do you map?

I'd just love pushing my mind the furthest possible, that being problem-solving of mathematic problems or to push my creativity beyond what I thought I was capable of. I could, and I do sometimes, just paint a picture or code an application or a website to satisfy those needs, but I just love mapping because I can use all my skills, or sometimes some of my skills combined with other peoples skills, to create something technical impressive and visually, artistic, beautiful.

When everything finally just work together, that is a great bonus to all the things you've learned on the way to the final map.

posted a message on Corruption RPG looking for [EU]people

You may or may not have played my map called "Corruption RPG". If not, then check it out on the arcade [EU].

I have come to the decision to expand my solo-project up to a team-project, here is the people I am looking for:

    Scripted Events Leader:

Will be in charge of various scripted events in the map, including boss-battles.

    Requirements: [EU] Account

    Visual Effects Leader

Will be in charge of all visual effects such as projectiles, ability effects and proper sound-effects for these.

    Requirements: [EU] Account

    ------------------------------

These are the only two people needed at the moment, but if you think you can contribute with something else, feel free to contact me anyways.

As both the titles have the affix "Leader" means that You will be in charge and thereby have pretty much free hands, I believe that is the best way to work.

If you're up for the task, then just send me a PM on these forums and make sure to show or tell of something you've done in the past with the SC2-editor.

I hope to hear from you!

So what is the best way to do this at the moment, modifying the default UI? Still just saving .SC2Layout files directly to the MPQ or can the UI editor actually be used for anything? I have failed to make it work so far or seen anyone actually get it working

posted a message on Hots beta is comming

It says that it will only be for testing the multiplayer experience. So there probably wont be an editor shipping with the beta in the beginning.
    Happy data-digging everyone ;)

    sorry, but I lol'ed :)

Do not start an RPG project if you're unable to do triggers, start with something smaller like a minigame or a modified melee map.

No one played with footprints and made a doodad arena hovering over the larva and not just coming out of it?

I have some plans for doing something like that tomorrow when I start my entry. Guess it'll be my first WTE to enter, but I plan to do my very best!

posted a message on Idea for webserver "bank" system.

I've done something like this some time ago, I dropped the idea tho. Basically there was a button on my mod-website called "Update hero-data". When you clicked this button a 13kb .exe file was generated specificall for the login-data you've already entered on the website, and then you were asked to download this 13kb file. Then when you selected "run program" the program would automatically locate your bank file for my map, and then upload the data to an online database using your login-name and an encrypted password, all that to a secure webservice which would then handle the data and convert it to readable html.

Final thing, when you updated your browser window your hero-data (dps, life, armor etc.) was now available for everyone to see :)

I dont think Im up for the job, but if someone want to use my program as a start to build your idea, just say so.. I'ts written in VB.net.

posted a message on Corruption RPG

People keep PM'ing me about the map, I dunno if they see this topic or not, but here is the answer to your question:

The map is not being updated before after patch 1.5.0, unless Blizzard fails miserable again as they have done lately and the patch is worth shitz. If it is a decent patch an update for the map will be available shortly after release of 1.5.0.

posted a message on This is what online harassment looks like

Feminism is just awesome to hear about! I love how they don't give a shit about men and only wants women to lead the world. It's pretty much like men a 100 years ago.

In my country some women are being hired for the simple reason of being woman. Feminists thinks that is great, men here don't really care much, but the real women in my country actually hates it because they can no longer compete fairly with men on the job-market because they are given special treatment like they were some kind of retarded minority.

Feminists are the only ones thinking women are the weak sex.
