I'm trying to replicate the same cursor effect (when we select the target area after clicking on the ability button) as in Nova's Hellfire shotgun ability, that means a cone that comes from the unit, and turn towards the target without moving from its original position.
I have duplicated the effect, replaced the TargetOn events by my own ability, and it works perfectly... until the unit stops moving.
When the unit is stationnary the cursor is here, but it's not moving towards my mouse anymore.
I would like to change a unit's texture during the game, and I would like to do it using Triggers.
I'm trying to send an actor message to the actor of the unit and I thought that "TextureSelectById" was the message used to change texture but it doesn't seem to work.
I'm trying to replicate the "smart move" that happens when a unit is following a rally point (ie after being created).
The standard "Issue Order" with "Order targeting Unit" and with "Move" as order doesn't work.
For example I do a Issue Order "Move" to a Nydus and the unit doesn't Load in like it would happens if you use the hatch or even another Nydus Rally point.
I managed to make it work by using triggers, so I guess I will stay that way, but If you can try to explain to me with more details on how to do it, what field to changes and how does everthing works, I'm sure that can be very helpful!
Maybe you could try to duplicate that ability tto target only air units. Or... In the ability's Effects, you could try changing everything related to Target Point to Target Unit. This is just my suggestion, so make sure to back up your file first if you're willing to test this.
I already try this. Well, not chaning ALL the Effects I must admit. I'll try with all the effects changed.
Yes the grapple missile is hugging the ground, and the beam behind it too.
Well it is starting from the the arm of the HERC so its not hugging the ground for the duration but it is moving towards the ground.
I'm trying to make the HERC grapple ability to target air units, but the grapple stick to the ground instead of attaching on the unit, whereas the HERC launches itself to the correct spot.
I've try to change the Host Operations Site, but I couldn't manage to succeed.

Works perfectly with the first solution, adding a SOpRotator with 0 angle change.
Thanks a lot!

This is not an Arc actor, this is a copy of Nova's cone, it's a Model.
There is 4 SOp on this, SOpAttachCenter, SOpShadow, SOpLookAtCursor and SOp2DRotation

Yes.
EDIT: Actually I just left the values as they were in the original game (I'm editing Neural Parasite)
And even when changing them, it does not work.
I managed to fix it with the fully working function "Change Owner" using triggers.
But if you can tell me how to do it properly via Data I will sure be interested! :P

Hello,
Does anyone knows why the supply is not switched to the new player when controlling an enemy unit with a Behavior?
Thanks

I deleted every effects that is related to the placeholder and switched the first effect directly to the LM effect and it worked perfectly!
Thanks for the help

I'm so dumb, I didn't check the "Preset" tab in the "Ability Command" property :(
There is literally a field called "Smart Command" which made me laugh.
Sorry I'm bad

No it goes straight to the Unit's center point, on the ground.
Even if the unit is flying

I am not sure I understand.

Thanks again for your responses!

How can I know if it's duplicate or not?
Currently everything is blue with the correct name like nothing was changed.
Except the effect that allows me to target units obviously, but the actors are in blue and have correct name and id.

I have not duplicated the Ability. I'm editing the original.
