I'm trying to replicate the same cursor effect (when we select the target area after clicking on the ability button) as in Nova's Hellfire shotgun ability, that means a cone that comes from the unit, and turn towards the target without moving from its original position.
I have duplicated the effect, replaced the TargetOn events by my own ability, and it works perfectly... until the unit stops moving.
When the unit is stationnary the cursor is here, but it's not moving towards my mouse anymore.
Ok here are two things to try. First force the attachment to update by adding a SOp (Rotator) that has 0 rotation as the second SOp. Alternatively use a SOp(Forward Vector) that uses SOpBasicScopeFollow instead of SOpLookAtCursor to follow the cursor.

This suggests the model you are hosting it on does not automatically update attachments. Remember this method if you want to host anything else off of it.

Hello,
I'm trying to replicate the same cursor effect (when we select the target area after clicking on the ability button) as in Nova's Hellfire shotgun ability, that means a cone that comes from the unit, and turn towards the target without moving from its original position.

Can someone help me on this?
Thanks a lot.
I assume your Arc actor is using a SOp(Forward Vector) SOp that uses the SOpBasicScopeFollow SOp to follow the cursor?

This is not an Arc actor, this is a copy of Nova's cone, it's a Model.
There is 4 SOp on this, SOpAttachCenter, SOpShadow, SOpLookAtCursor and SOp2DRotation

Works perfectly with the first solution, adding a SOpRotator with 0 angle change.
Thanks a lot!

Why the Nova model updates its attachments and not the one im using though?
Innate properties of the individual .m3 files.
