For me and my friend it's now fun, but also not because of dl's. We are making it because we want to make something. We want to achieve our personal goal - to make a creation. When I had my TF2 map done I was happy - because all that work and effort that I put in creation of it wasn't for nothing. I was happy for 2 posts, where they said the map is good.
It just a feeling that makes us complete it. As far as we work with it, we LIKE what we make. It really makes us somewhat happy. ;)
The problem with duplicating is simple - it really duplicates what you show, BUT the abilities have some bugs.
I mean, when you duplicate an ability, it creates a copy AND sets all usuable things to * Copy (like - Behavior - Behavior: Build Copy). So, when you duplicate, you need to check everything in this kind of things.
Just make a req. that checks the level of ability (with show and use), make a blank, hide the ability under the behaviors slot in command card. so, when he learns an ability, that unlocks the corresponding level of behavior.
Em, that is not a Miachinima... I just didn't find any plot. It was rather boring to watch it.
Also, that nuclear launches could be useful. Try adding them to carpet bombing (vikings at protoss base), change the scale of the effects, and make it drop nuke's every 1 sec. that could look better. just dunno about this vid.
I think you should also look in to the behaviors, just to make sure everything is correct. Try finding out were are some places with the "Infested terran" name and changing it to the "Desired unit name here".
Hey all!! Ive been a while here, and all the time I was working on a survival type map, and I've got some good progress!
The Idea of this game is to survive, making items with other items (barricade = 2xStone and 1xWood), advancing in profession(Archeology, Building,...), gaining abilities with levels, gaining higher ranks (higher ranks gives you higher clearance level) and, of course, cooperation!
The plot is... none at the moment, but here is a little express idea! The Zerg have finally breached the defense perimeter of Earth and are trying to conquer the whole planet. You have assigned to the Air force Operatives to defend your beloved planet. While flying back from the mission, you have been intercepted by the Zerg corrupter group and have been destroyed. The only way, to survive was to use a emergency jet pack. You landed on a previously active battlefield, where bodies still lied on the field. Seeing that corrupters went back, you started to gather everything you had, you suddenly felt the ground shaking. Equipping your riffle, you began to prepare yourself to survive the incoming onslaught.
The map is a remake of "Survival" map from Warcraft 3.

First off all, make some a quantity of behaviors (if 5 lvl, then 5 beh.), then, make empty ability (that does nothing). also, give it lvls. then, put in your units Learn Abilities that newly created ability. Place a button to the unit, and place buttons to the exact same place, where is the button of an ability. Then, you need a req. - create a new requirement. Go to the Requirement+ field. In there make like i write:
Use:
Equals to:
Count Ability Completed at Unit
Constant 1 (or, level of ability)
Show:
Equals to:
Count Ability Completed at Unit
Constant 1 (or, level of ability)
Add these to corresponding behaviors and you are done.
if you still don't understand, i can make it understandable (with screens, etc.).
