As some of you may know, I have been working on a Starcraft 2 Soundboard.
I am making a thread here so that I can show my to-do list and give status updates on it so that people will know how far along it is.
The list will be in the general order that I plan to accomplish it, with some exceptions.
To-Do List:

I will probably add more to the list but for now that is all I can remember for my goals.
I will not be updating the file after every unit. I will most likely do it when I hit key times, such as finishing each race. That being said, if there is a section that would help you in your map making or whatever your goals are that has not been updated but is listed here as complete - feel free to post requesting that I update that file and I will do so as soon as it is convenient to.
If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to post them.
Each unit seems to take about a half hour to an hour to complete, so I hope to at least have all unit sounds done by the end of the weekend or so.
Also notice I am doing it in alphabetical order so it should be easy for you to track progress.
Do you think the Protoss/Zerg hybrids Samir Duran was working on in Brood War will make an appearance in the SC2 campaigns?
I honestly expected them to be a playable race in SC2 the first time I played BW. But then started thinking otherwise. I don't know anything about what SC2's story will be other than it continuing where BW left off or close to where it left off.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas? I'm also very sad that Fenix is probably gone for good :(
Go to the import tool - I think the hotkey is F9, then right click in the space on the left, say import, find your folder with what you want to import and make sure that it is the only thing checked.
Click import. To actually use it if you need it to be a unit sound or something you have to make a new sound with that file in the data editor.
I am happy for 3v3,4v4, and custom maps. But I am shocked that terran infantry got a buff... Terran players need no more encouragement to go MMM all the time, and it certainly doesn't need to be any better...
The other changes I'm fine with, just the buff makes no sense to me. I still think ultras will get owned by marauders as well just like before - they have even less hp now.
Right now I'm working on my soundboard project, and I would like to finish up the Jurassic Park map after that, but I would love to help with this.
I'm not very good with triggers yet but I have used the data editor and terrain a lot. I hope to get into modelling and whatnot as it will be part of my major in college. However, I haven't started that yet.
I didn't think about that factor.. how to transfer the hero between maps. If that would work though, you could have certain items that only come from certain gates and whatnot. People could even submit terrain from non related maps to this if they wanted to.
I think some people accomplish turn based combat is disable control of the units through triggers. Then use the triggers to do certain attacks or abilities.
Thats awesome. With that this map would have amazing potential. If you are going to make it so players have heroes, doing a save load system in the map would add a lot too as people could use their heroes multiple times.
I'm curious how you did that too if you ever feel like posting up how you did :)

The BNET servers seem to be having issues right now (no one can join any games as far as I know) so that may have to do with it. Not entirely sure.

Can melee maps be made with AI that is better than very easy yet?
If so please let me know how. I have looked at the triggers and I have never understood how to set up AI with different difficulties properly.

Yea for some reason you have to save before the files will show up. Hopefully that gets fixed.

Yea, but they want to have more challenging AI before the game is released so that they can get better between now and then.
