I've run into a very interesting problem. It seems that the Sound Duration function doesn't work... sometimes... when applied to a Sound Link variable. After some testing I've found that it does work for some directly referenced sounds and not for others, and if you directly reference a working sound before referencing a Sound Link variable in the same thread it will work - as long as the variable uses the same direct reference that you used before. Confusing, I know. Is there a reason Sound Duration doesn't work properly with variables? Am I just completely insane?
It's not just you. It says you're supposed to use the "wait for sound durations" trigger with it, but even that doesn't do anything.

I really have no clue why we can't get the length of a sound with this mega-advanced editor. There's a way to do it for active transmissions, but other than that, nothing. I had to cop out & use the "wait for sound to end" trigger.
I've run into this problem too. I've resorted to just downloading Audacity to reformat my sounds and chop them up as needed. It's pretty straightforward program and easy to use.
