Hey dude, I have a question, starting with I'm pretty novice,
Is there any way to replace a Marine animations animations of Sc2 by an orc from World of Warcraft?
Thanks for this post amigo! I hope you dont have to have 3ds max 2011. Because I only have 2013 and 2011 isnt even on their website! Either way I'm watching it as we're talking now. I'll keep in touch.
I have no idea what is wrong with it, except, if you use only the m3 and the one .dds file that I can find in the download... than you are missing a lot of textures.
Weird that you use this model, aren't the models from HoTS now available in the SC2 Editor?
Hence, the model looks fine to me, all animations are there, materials, etc...
Want this moved to the tutorials forum?

Sorry this toook so long to answer.
Yes you can Import a marine from SC2, or use the one from the Art Tools, remove the bones
Import a M2 model from Warcraft and with it the animations, bones etc, remove the mesh,
apply the bones to the marine, using a skin modifier, make sure the boneweights are ok and that should do the trick

A bit of a necro, but I'm also watching these and using these to learn the basics, so thanks :)
It's a damn shame that the starcraft 2 modding community is rather dead... ;/
