Matching egg diffuses would be amazing! Right now I'm using fairly ugly tinting, but I thought it would be too hard to create custom diffuses. If that's something within your power to create, I would be very much in your debt. =D
If you have time, could someone make me a Lich wirefrime, shield wireframe, and whatever the image is called when you have multiple units selected? I already have the hero icon (using wc3)
Can you do it by yourself, or what images do you need?
I just can't figure out how the texture is linked together with the model. I created custom textures in the data editor and pointed them to the diffuses, but beyond that I'm stuck. How do I specify in the models I have dup'd from an Egg that they should have these diffuses?
@SilverSeraphim:
you need 3ds max, but it costs money. I will put up on my thread when i get it, hopefully soon, so check every now and then. My thread is the hyperlinked picture in my sig
There has got to be a way to do it in the editor. Surely you can force an actor to use a specific texture using actor events right? I'm just getting stuck because eggs have variations and I can't figure out how to disable the texture variation search.
Edit: I give up. I'm just going to use the icons and the tint. =p
Can someone please make me a coloured version of either of these two Data Core wireframes. I don't need specific team colour, I just want them to look roughly like they do in game.
I have a model modification request I would like to use in a King of the Hill map. It would be for the large Terran Beacon to be changed to use player color to show ownership depending on what team owns the location.
the link in the editor is: Assets/UI/feedback/BeaconTerran/BeaconTerran.m3
I'm currently working on the trigger aspects on the game and am using a 4 array variable to hold the players in what order they enter the location so it changes ownership correctly.
I assume that will remove all of the animations it has but if that's what you want to do for me go ahead. Thank you for your help.
Here's a link to the current beta version of the map if you'd like to see how it's used. (just follow your minimap to the white dots after the first 20 second placement)

Edit 5/7/11: On second thought I am really attached to it's animations now. If a re-color would be too much work then I guess I will just use it as is.
Sorry for not answering for a while >.>
Attaching Lich model (WoW model. Import textures first, save and close, reopen, import .m3) and a screenie for the wireframe. if you dont like the position/lighting of the Lich, import the model and make a better screenie :)
Also, would it be possible to add teamcolor to it's texture?
@MiketheSspike:
i can't do that without 3ds max, hopefully in my possession next week, so you are now on my list of PMing
you can, however, replace the texture with this, and they will be white when neutral
Just a reminder for those of you who are like me and check every few days for posts but forget stuff easily therefore forgetting that there were open requests that hadn't been completed yet

I would like to request custom colored zerg eggs:
Assets\Textures\btn-unit-zerg-egg.dds
I need a red, purple, and blue to match this color scheme:

Obviously the green one is just fine as it is, it's only the other three that I need to match. =]
Thanks in advance to anyone who can do this!

Thanks so much Jaxter! I will credit you in my map of course.
To be honest, I'm not having much luck understanding how to implement these textures. I tried to follow this guide:

Sounds good, thanks Jaxter!

can i just take pictures of the models in the previewer?
if you dont know what that means, then can i just use pictures of the actual thing rather than recoloring?
