about the merc ships, the griffon is a aa attacker, bu is essentually a viking in the mission. id make it do a bit more damage than its current state,and switch the +5 to vs light but make it have a quick fire rate, there could be a tech lab upgrade that makes it able to point defence a missile every 10 seconds,
id use one of ghostnovas behemoth battlecruisers for the terran carrier, my idea for the gorgon is give it a speed of 1 but keep the high stats, so you essentually dont want to engage

the protoss observatory model may fit better for scan sweeps. There is a special battlecruiser model without the "hammer head" and its a lot more easier on the eyes than the big hercules. although taboo, theres always the unsc ship model to consider as a carrier, but do the non-hammer head bc.
I recently realized how the psi-link spire COULD work and would fit that description very well. It'll be an advanced spellcasting structure, sort of like the shield battery from sc classic and the nexus from sc2. Its purpose would end up being a late game mothership core.

Resource Efficiency: Casts an aura on the target area. Increases gather speed of all allied workers.
Psi-Linked Warp: Warps all owned units near the psi-link spire to the targetted pylon powered location.
Call Golden Armada: Summons 1-4 powerful defensive ships with timed life. Ship(s) warp back to shakuras after time runs out.
Hi, Iam preparing to publish the new version today. Of course the majority of ideas around here isn't in the mod yet, but I think we have enough so we can start playing, testing, and reporting bugs. I will read and answer the latest posts in a while.
Some things that will be avaiable in this version: Protoss Shuttle, Kel-Morian Cerberus, Primal brood with a lot of stuff, Zagara's brood, Kilysa's brood (the old Leviathan brood), Feral clusters brood (the old lost broods) and possibly other things I don't remember right now, but most changes are for zerg anyway.
Players will be able to train heroes more than once, but are still limited to one hero at a time.
@Kanitala: Go I added the Army flag to all units I could find, please report if any are still missing it after the update. Ohhh that Drop Pod, at first I thought it would be iteresting to have it, but with so many warp abilities would protoss really use drop pods??

@SheogorathSC: Go Yes, but right now the only ability it has is the scrapped alpha Null Shield, that makes one structure cloaked for some time. Feel free to suggest other abilities.
@nolanstar: Go Yeah, that's one of my ideas for the Gorgon. Very durable but very slow, something you really don't want to see moving towards your base.

Okay so throwing out some old/new abilities for the Psi Spire and Dark pylon:
Phase Shift or Vortex, would personally consider these kinds of abilities more Nerazim styled.
'Barbed wire' type shield, applies to a building and melee atackers recieve a set amount of damage each time they attack, maybe having a bit of the old Arc shield and have electricity arc out and zap all enemies in a certain range, like 3 ish.
An AoE damage or debuff for the Dark Pylon, spawning an hologram-styled Dark Pylon in the air and stabbing the ground with it, sorry I just thought that graphic would be really cool.
Time slow shield, reversed chrono boost that somehow protects the targeted building.

Yeah, I was trying to make sense of some sort of trade-off, the most logical to me would be some sort of Inertia Field though, since it can slow and drop projectiles, like beta Time Bubble, just stopping time doesn't really make the projectiles go away, but even then it would just be a phase shift if it negates all damage and stops production completely.
What would be epic is to make projectiles take on their physics form and fall to the ground when they get near it.
But, as for time slow...what about time reverse? Maybe projectiles reverse and hit their caster and it reflects melee damage. But, in return, it freezes progress on the structure.

And As Far As rotoss Warp Abilities One Mod Ive Played Came Up With An Intresting Setup They Used The Oblisk and Set It Up Like A nydus Worm Where Could Load Units Into it And Unload them From Any Oblisk U Built On Map In Additoin There Was A Ship That Connected 2 The Oblisk That You couldd Move Around The Map And Use Like A Nydus Exit Pretty Much A Very Fancy Shuttle With No Risk Of Unit Loss If It Pops And Also A Way Ta Move Your Army between Bases With ease Should you Need 2 Defend An Xpansion(makes Me Think Of Reavers pre build and loaded drp them in a base and warp prism in sum support :D ) but i just like mass slaughters so keep up the good work hope ta see ur relese l8er tonight :D

Concerning Protoss Drop Pods: Well barring actual escape pods my envisioning of them is kind of like a way to deploy a Pylon/Warp Prism somewhere where they can't just fly one in easily so like the 'pod' wouldn't actually have any troops in it (or perhaps like the Warp Prism they'd be in the 'pattern buffer' the same way Warp Prism transporting works) but when it lands it extends a small psy field allowing warp ins. That was speaking thematically, I guess gameplaywise it could be a called down mini pylon, though not sure how much more effective that'd be in melee than just using Warp Prisms. Probably the sort of thing that'd be of more use in a campaign mission... ah well making such a model shouldn't take long.
Speaking of models, when you mentioned Protoss Shuttle do you mean the HotS Shuttle (or 'Ark' if you use the tileset name of the seemingly same design (going by artwork) ship you infiltrate in the campaign) or my Revamp Protoss Shuttle? :)
Also speaking of faction names, Golden Armada would be a great name for an air unit focused Protoss faction ^_^
And sorry, not trying to push you to add the Archangel, I was just replying to the questions about it and suggesting a possible way to include it :)

I'm behind the teleport ability yukaboy brought up for the Psi Spire, ofcourse it might need something more.
By the way does any Tribe have an Obelisk/Dark Pylon?
I was saying something like maybe having it contain upgrades as well as a teleport ability.
For example, it has an upgrade that reduces the cooldown time on all warp gate units.
Something like that. Maybe it could also train advanced khala units because it looks quite golden...

how come you won't use the Hurricane BC model as the carrier? if you are planning on doing a carrier

I don't think he wants to add the 3 beta bcs because they are "low quality".
He mensioned that warhounds will be added. I'd have thought they were in right now for one of the dominion factions, I think alpha squadron.
