Hi I want to be able to click on the creep then the creep will also have abilities such as upgrade to greater creeps (increase zerg movement speed even further) for 150 minerals 150 gas. Any thought on how this could be done?
I may be wrong but you're probably mixing your apples and oranges.
Better to create an upgrade on a building, say the creep tumor, and have that modify what the creep does.
I want to create a situation where some creep area are more dangerous than other creep area. So some creep area that has been upgraded will make the zergs move even faster compared to the creep area that has not been upgraded. that's the reason I ask if we can make the creep clickable and upgrade-able
Creep is not an unit at the moment, they're just part of the terrain with universal bonus. You can't change speed bonus of a specific creep region. Using a region and speed buff behavior might be a solution
Hmm... thats an interesting idea. Maybe use psi storm animation instead of creep? and create psi storm 1, psi storm 2 with different buffs.
But can you make the region/speed buff clickable so that player know what will happen if their units enter that territory? i.e. clicking will open up small panel giving info about the buffs that area/region create.
I want to create a situation where player will have to think what unit will do better when entering certain creep region/area
Use mouse is clicked event in your trigger. You can take x and y position of mouse on the game world to check and then show up a dialog or some thing similiar
You could also create a dialog button to "upgrade" the creep by creating an invisible persistent effect with the same radius as the creep spread that increases whatever you may want.
Really, the only ways i can see it being done are through buildings or dialogs, but not creep.
Use lowered supply depot (paint it with creep animation) as the creep. That way I can click it and can upgrade? then make the supply depot to have buff?
and unit can walk on it...
What do u think is the best and easiest solution for my situation?
