You realize you're being as stupid as he is, right?
How is he?
The idiot on the forums is trying to get others to do what he can't himself, get someone banned for a dumb reason.
I'm also sure that that guy is not the only one boosting maps, nor is it so in-humane it deserves to be argued about.
I am not happy with boosting, the fact that it helps your map be popular is just lame, but I don't think people should be banned for gaming blizz's terrible system.
Anyone who abuses Blizzard's terrible system should be commended, not punished. I mean if we could fill the entire first page with terrible maps, that were basically just blank maps with nothing on them. Imagine what Blizzard would have to do, when custom gaming isn't even possible anymore. But that aside, we have to do what we have to do, and the ONLY way to get your map played is to boost the fuck out of it, so meh, we must hate Blizzard for forcing this system on us, not the map makers who make do with what they have.
P.S. Blizzards forums suck just as much cock as their popularity system, and crashes my internet whenever I try to go to them, so if my post is entirely off topic, forgive me.
He makes the mistake of blindly judging without questioning whether his standards are actually reasonable. Without considering the degree to which the popularity system is effective, he is judgemental about map boosting without it necessarily being a bad thing. You are judgemental about the popularity system without it necessarily being a bad thing - you're both exercising a grudge that's at least partly unfounded.
Or in clearer terms, he is shouting "A IS RIGHT!!!" without giving A further thought. You're replying "You're a moron, B is right!" without giving B further thought.

Not entirely true, it's an indisputable fact that there is -NOTHING- good about the popularity system. I mean you can actually quantify how it's bad. You can use science and mathmatics to PROVE, without a doubt, that the popularity system has nothing good to offer. So blindly going "you're wrong, the system sucks" is acceptable, while the reverse is not.
The pop system isnt that bad really but it would be nice if there was other ways you could sort the list......
The pop system is good for people that have never played on bnet before...... and thats really what blizz wants.... they want a new generation that can link their face book accounts to their starcraft and blah blah blah..
They are like .... hey people play these maps....
I dont see intentional boosting as really that effective unless you have like an army of people playing for 5 minutes just to bump your map. I for one would discourage it.
If you need testers .... Im sure theres a lot of people on here willing to help you test things.

Did you not play SC, or WC3? It was easy to just join bnet, see a game with people, and join. The popularity system -IS- that bad, and the fact that you can't see that is actually kinda sad :/ The popularity system makes it so only a select few maps will ever be played, whether they're good or bad, and every other map never even gets a chance. Atleast on old bnet, any map had a chance since you could just go host it and people would join. I mean at this point in the game, no map's gonna dislodge those already at the top, so why bother? ONLY way to get your map visible, is to get bots to endlessly boost your map up, any system that forces you to rely on bots just to play a game, really is a shitty system.
Obviously the map maker shouldn't be banned for boosting his map, but saying this guy should go to hell is overdoing it. Boosting is annoying for people who are trying to get their maps popular 'legitamitally'. He's either a map maker who doesn't want to use the system in a way it's not supposed to be used, or he feels bad for map makers who aren't abusing the system and are getting 'cheated' by boosters. What really needs to be done though is making Blizzard aware of just how much the system is being abused by boosting, not banning boosters as they are simply exploiting a flaw in Blizzard's system, but a perfectly legal exploit. If these people didn't boost their maps it would be extremely difficult for long game time maps with a large number of players to make it up the popularity system.
The poster simply isn't seeing the full situation, but his mindset is understandable and saying he should go to hell is in bad taste. Explain why he is wrong as opposed to simply bashing him.

By explain why he is wrong, I mean 'explain to him why he is wrong'.
When I say 'making Blizzard aware of just how much the system is being abused', I mean, 'make them aware so that they realize their system is a poor one', not 'make them aware so that they ban boosters' =P Thought I should clarify.
Someone has to tell this guy to go to hell

@RodrigoAlves:
I posted there lol

Rofled @ the thread's name.
Rodrigo supreme commander of the anti-bnet 2.0 revolution ^^
Who on these forums isn't at least a little bit stupid? :P
I would post my intellectual garbage if I could, but no US account :/
I posted before I read this lol.

@Szei: Go
You are right. "Go to hell" was just a joke to emphasize this thread. You know I didn't mean it. (The LOL in the end was proving that). :)
