I haz to test a stupid mouse movement trigger online to see if it lags but i can't :(
:(
For a couple of hours before the beta went down I was hard at work trying to fix bugs. I Was like 2-3 hours late to publish my map before the beta closed..
I dont know if any of you guys got invited to the alpha version of the arcade, but when they shut down the server on that they never brought it back up, and it went into beta. makes me think they wont bring the beta back up. Its been up a little while and not many people were playing it just like with the alpha, only no one was playing the alpha.
@Bibendus: Go
Sorry to tell you, but it lags, just like every other trigger event. :(
The Beta environment is currently down for maintenance. We don't have a time table for when the environment will be back up but we are planning to make the environment live again as soon as possible.

Sounds like they will keep running the beta for a while and continue fixing bugs, which i would be fine with. :)
We waited so long for this, a couple of days/weeks dont do the difference for me.
I know it lags but i want to see if it feels responsive enough.
BTW my main issue is that on every mouse movement I do a lot of maths to get the clicked point on a precise height, I fear it may be too much intensive with 4 players :|
Responsiveness depends only on battle.net and its latency. Depending on the time of day (and the resulting amount of players online) it will feel very good or very bad.
About performance: Depending on what you exactly do, it shouldnt be a problem. You should worry more about visual stuff. Btw, why do you need any maths to calculate the clicked height? There is a native function that returns the clicked world height.
It returns the clicked world height, however it's on the ground while I use actors with height 3. That's why I need to calculate the intersection between this height and the camera view line.
For responsiveness I mean I want to see if my mouse area highlight I did feels ok, even with lag
@CrazyTwigman: Go At first I thought you could be trolling lol. But yeah it's back up. Just went through more reviews in my map and apparently people that rate it below 5 stars think it's too complicated lol. I don't know if its really complicated or maybe it isn't for brainless players.
Its so frustrating, most peolple who play my map are retarded/ and or brainlesss. They must have skipped school because they obviously cant read.
What was the point of me setting up Arcade Info? Noone ever appears to read it except when going to put a review.. And they only put reviews for that contest.
@CrazyTwigman: Go Exaclty most maps published right now lack How To Play info. I gave clear instructions and still players say it's too complicated. How can it be complicated when all you have to do (besides playing it as a melee game) is selecting a few more things in your pylon/spawning pool/supply depot?

No, of course not. *starts shaking from withdrawal symptoms*
@Bibendus: Go Yeah definitely. I wish players would report more bugs though.
@SoulFilcher:
My players have reported quite a few to me :D. but they are all fixed now.
Not to mention theres no telling how many bugs are Beta bugs, and how many new bugs will popup when it comes out of beta.
Omgosh Blizzard, it doesnt take 24 hours for maintenance... Open the beta already : (
Like seriously guya who needs bugs to be fixed? :P

Hmm, its Friday. I have a feeling that they closed the Beta and the next thing they will do with it is to update 1.4 to 1.5...

I just discovered 1.5 fixed my problems with TextureSelectById used with Upgrade Add events! :-)
I believe there is a new patch underway.
Congratulations, SC2 build number is over 22000 now.
