There is a nice little drag of inactivity, and moderate activity before the barrage of threads come from people who went to blizzcon... I will try not to nerd out too hard and fall behind in school ;)
Here is to the next Blizzcon, I do hope that people going there enjoy themselves, I do hope they reveal a few things, but I will sit and wait for what they announce.
Get ready for the update threads, troll threads, informational threads, burn threads, over hyped threads, misinforming threads, useful threads, and the whole slew of stuff the internet has to offer in the next few days, the storm is coming, enjoy the calm while you can :)
WarCraft 3 update/remake. Calling it now. There's no way those hero models just vanished into the ether.
Blizzard is actually creating the Thrall Collection, which is a package of HD remakes of Warcraft 2, Warcraft 3, TFT and an exclusive beta key for Warcraft 4. It will be used to boost sales of the playstation 4.

Whatever they show, I hope they at least keep the assets in the editor this time around, if they can the unit. Maybe we'll even get the WC3 hero models or some confirmation if the Arcade becomes stand-alone or not! */hopeful thinking*

Don't forget the HD remake of Warcraft 1 as preorder DLC!

Part of me is like, "Yeah, that sounds amazing!"
But then, what motivation would Blizzard have to make the arcade stand-alone? The SC2 arcade is already basically stand-alone. All you need is the free SC2 client and a battle.net account.
Still, the idea of a shared asset pool between SC2 and whatever Blizzard develops in the SC2 engine, under the guise of "Blizzard Arcade", sounds pretty appealing if nothing else.
True, it's standalone as it is right now, though I think it'd be nice to play maps made with SC2's engine without having to switch a game (or having a unified Arcade where we can browse through all mods). Shared assets without the need to export/convert them would also be nice. :)

I still don't understand who plan to attend this and ask some trenchant questions.
@TyaArcade: Go
