Random fact, this is the longest thread I have ever started in the years that I have been here haha
Here is to hoping they using their time, the funding, and skillsets well to make an outstanding mod / series of mods for the starcraft 2 community :) If you ever play the map don't forget to post any bugs that you find on their website!
Whew. Just read through all of this. Just want to say thanks for all the support here guys!
This whole damn experience has been quite a ride so far, and I hope it's just the beginning of something great. Not just for us, but for the entire community.
I'm going to write a tutorial soon on how to get your projects off the ground and funded on Kickstarter for anyone who might be interested. I've learned a lot about this whole process, and there's some great map ideas and tricks I can offer to leaders within the community that might be able to pull teams together to do what we've done.
Even though we were boosted by big media exposure in 2010, there's nothing preventing others from doing what we've done. It just takes a great idea and a lot of passion, time and commitment. I'll reveal my secrets soon. ^_^ - Everything from what types of games will get you noticed, to how you can contact gaming media to get you exposure.
To be honest SCU's UI always made my eyes hurt and brain confused.
Congratulations! Glad you guys reached your goal.
