I think that mapster will be more relax until blizzard will talk about the protoss expansion. Don't forget that Sc2, like every video game, have a player peak for few months and after that many players will leave for another game. I think that this principe works for the editor too.
For me personally Mapster is a place i go to get questions answered for map making. Even if there was only one guy per development forum who answered questions every day that would be enough for me, this site is a tool for helping me develop my map not a social networking site or something.
That's what makes this place so good, focusing on mapmaking means more pro, no trolling, no crappy pointless dumb threads as it happens when there are offtopic threads, so let it stay that way. Of course the layout and using the forum is horrible - right now even when I click EDIT more than once, it remembers the text before it was edited, so if I edit my post several times, I have to copy paste all previous times the text or it will be lost... really lame forum system but great focus on sc2 and great community.
