Apparently trying to publish a map to the EU database will result in the error of failure to connect to publish server.
Blizzard's answer:
"Note: The default Battle.net host in the editor is currently not configured with the correct beta information. Before you can publish from the editor, you will need to change this setting by doing the following:
# Use the File > Preferences command from any editor window
# Select the Battle.net item in the list
# Change the Host value to: eu-beta.logon.battle.net
# Click OK"
However, the editor seems to be missing the Host value bar within the Battle.net list item in the Preferences.
The only published UMS atm at the EU servers is ChessCraft with top popularity.
Anyone figured a work-around?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Editor Beta\Preferences
and change the BattleNetHost value.
I have tried changing it but ether i cant log in at all or i get the same error.
I dont have a beta on EU and didnt know the situation there. Which version is that chesscraft map and who published it ? Can someone post me a screenshot ?
I couldn't find the file you mentioned, plus this didn't seen to solve your problem it seems.
The quote I provided was from the Blizzard forum sticky FAQs which was released when the editor first came out, although other people are complaining to have the same problem as me, and apparently the host seems to be the problem.
Dedo, you really want to check dates before you post something up. This 'fix' doesn't fix our current problem: afaik, the publishing servers are down, period. The fix was only for a way earlier version of the beta in P1 when the hostname for EU players was indeed set wrong.
Everything else in this thread is right, though - I always lol when I look at custom games and see 12 Blizzard maps and Chesscraft there. Whoever actually made that map is getting some huge popularity now.

You can always change it in the Registry Editor.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Editor Beta\Preferences and change the BattleNetHost value. I have tried changing it but ether i cant log in at all or i get the same error.

Thanks, hope he did not mess up anything inside. We really do need a cross-region map database, buy 5 cd-key just for publishing isnt fun
No idea ... googled in polish mean "custom"

Its not a file. Go Start -> Run and type Regedit and then find it
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Editor Beta\Preferences
Edit: Dose US ppl still upload maps to us-beta.logon.battle.net ?
@ProRt: Go
It's already set to the correct host value.
I suppose the EU publish servers are just down while US is up and running.
You know blizzard, god intended for things to arrive in EU before it does in US, just take the son as an example!

I mentioned that here.
It seems as if blizzard doesn't intend for EU to publish during Phase 2, they haven't given us any news about this, just left us in the dark.
Asia server has map publish?
How I was wrong when I said they couldn't disappoint me more.
