Considering the stories were written and created during the same timeframe.... but still, Thats not enough to say much an entitiy destroying the universe, another thing thats been done a hundred times.... soooo Then they are the same because both plots are terribly cliched :P. Just go read a few supermans :P
Wow, I've never seen this before, this is actually kind of awesome lol
I hope it's something like this, All-Stars is happening and we already know that, so I personally hope for something new that no one knows about yet. Would also make a lot of sense to announce something like this at PAX imo, because with games like this you serve to a different audience than your core gamers so it makes sense to advertise and announce it at a place like PAX.
Also can't wait for Blizzcon, Titan announcement should be incoming this year I think (and then get released in like 4 years ... :/ Why does all the good stuff take so long? I'm basically waiting my whole life so far for George R. R. Martin to finish A Song of Ice and Fire, I don't want to wait anymore!).
They trademarked the ame "Heroes of Warcraft" a while back. I think this was rumored to be somethign related to the TCG, maybe they're bringing the card game to pc/ios or something.
I actually hope it's Blizz Allstars news, just cuz I want to see more about it.
Diablo 3 for PS3 will be playable there. No news about the unannounced thing yet. However, seeing how mobile phone are emphasized in that post, I would have to say its a mobile title.
Another open lead: Project Blackstone which is supposed to be the viral campaign for HotS turns out to be still ongoing.
Am I the only one in the gaming community who thinks that any game that can't be played on a mobile phone can be classified as a 'game'?
I don't want to sound elititst and I actually love some of the stuff they make for mobiles, but it just... kind of saddens me to see that company's are trying to produce "AA titles" and such for mobile phone gaming. I mean... what? Mobile games sure, but if Blizzard would announce one of those are their 'new title' and thus put it on equal footing with WoW, Diablo 3 and SC2... I just... what?
It saddens me too. My favorite devs when I was a kid was Popcap with all their downloadable titles (the early days of bejeweled). After their success with Plant vs Zombies, EA bought them and now they barely produce anything but mobile crap.
In here, instead of mentioning D3 for PS3, the secret is mentioned. This means the secret is definitely related to the SC universe. We could finally see where Project Blackstone have been leading us.
Edit:
If you want comparison, here's the last one, WoW's version of the blogpost

Related to starcraft? Perhaps its a Free to Play version of Matchmaking then.
Nvm still Dota Allstars, there is NOTHING that says its something related to starcraft, still points to shitty allstars.
I'm actually kind of excited to try this. I love playing TCGs like Magic/Warcraft, but I hate having to manage thousands of physical cards. This could be a lot of fun if they do a good job on it :)
I guess they felt they need an in-between product that would grab hold of WoW players leaving the franschise for other products, while not competing with their new Titan project. I would try it since I like card games, but I'm not into the whole wow universe :) Prefer sci-fi!
Would have hoped for something different, but still not the worst thing I could have imagined. Looks a tiny bit shallow on the gameplay side compared to Magic, so I don't see how it can be a better game than Magic. I'll still check it out for a while because it is F2P and it does look kind of fun, I just question the longevity. But I guess having a good free to play Cardgame is pretty cool, most ways to play Magic are really costly. And I really like the Warcraft franchise, so that's definitely a bonus.
I really hope Titan is no disappointment though, and I hope even more that they will announce it at this year's Blizzcon :)
Titan doesnt really exist... its just a phantom project. Seriously though, its supposed to be SOOOO massive, so why so few job openings for it?
Its a fake, or a concept, its only purpose is to keep the public eye on blizzard. a marketing scheme.
Or they're keeping it quiet on purpose? If there's any job openings for it, it definitely exists. Besides, they probably can just transfer existing teams to the project. The WoW team likely doesn't have to be nearly as big as it once did.
Besides, I like the idea of a F2P card game. I'll give it a try sometime :P

guys some custom maps are already playable as standalone without owning the original sc2, you can just download the free client and play them :|
there is really no need for a new client

TCG on PC I could get behind.
Heroes of WarCraft could also be the trademark for the movie maybe.
Bump for a small news.

Another hint. A different version of blogpost is posted on the sc2 website instead

Both D3 and the secret is mentioned, which leads me to believe the secret is not related to the warcraft universe.

Looks like the mystery is solved...

I am disappointed, it is _different_ ... but meh ... I was expecting something a bit bigger.
The Card Game? ... Blizz is jumping on F2Pay finally.
Yay me for being right. Still would've rather had Blizz Allstars news.

Not if they only put the jobs up and never hire for them :P.
I still think its just a phantom project, to keep people watching.
also card games ont he computer always suck, have yet to see anything past solitaire do well.
Say that to a magic fan :P Anyways, here's the videos. First the trailer, then the information video.
What do you guys think? Since it's free to play, do you plan on at least trying it out? Or are card games simply not your thing?
