im looking for someone to take over developement of my map "Battle of Zerus", since i dont really have enough time anymore to keep updating the map. The main mechanics, Terrain etc. are mostly finished and its already published on the EU server with mainly positive ratings. I really like the map and i'd be happy if someone could keep developing/updating it, maybe adding some new stuff, improving balance or just fixing bugs.
The map constists of 2 teams, one terran team with 4 players and one infested team with 2 players. Infesteds continuosly spawn infested marines/terrans which they can upgrade. They can also build some special units that can help. Terrans have some changed units that come are also in melee sc2 and some enterily new units. Every terran also has one unique building to create stronger Units.
I don't want to pop your baloon, but people rarely have time for their own projects, so taking care of someone else project is quite rare except if the map is a bit famous and there is a community behind it that wishes the map to continue on (thinking of Desert Strike which went through multiple hands).
For a mapmaker, going through someone else map, learning how he did the triggering, data, etc. plus trying to make it better and then promote it is alot of work. If you don't have time anymore, sad story, but it's the story of many people. Just keep an eye on it and when you feel inspired again and have some time again, continue on. Believe in your works.
I JUST now seen this. but to give you a heads up. I have one current Arcade map that i keep up to date with patches and content. Desert Strike Trinity. And i am also working on 2 other projects, of my own, that i would like to accomplish as well. I don't have enough hours in the day for my own projects let alone take on a project or map from someone else, no offense intended. That is all besides an idea for a Extension mod that i thought up this night, not sure if it will work but if it does, awesome sauce. lol. Just saying that most people here are already here for help on their map or already working on something, or else they simply wouldn't be here in the 1st place. If you don't have time for your map/project, it simply happens that way to us sometimes. I had one published map it took a total of about 6 months to 'finish' because of ~life~. My only advice is save it and back it up so if/when you do have time irl you can always que it back up. Have a nice day.
