I was finally able to have players join my map to test a full 6v6 map but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, f*ing B.Net 2.0 doesn't want to, each time there's 7 or 8 players the lobby CRASHES, YES THAT'S RIGHT, IT ALWAYS CRASHES.
Thanks blizz, you suck and you've made me waste my map.
Yea FCK Blizzard for not giving us the full game but only some suck-@ss beta that DOESNT EVEN WORK RIGHT. I mean it's not like we're supposed to test this piece o' cr@p so they can iron out problems! When I was signing up for beta I was of firm believe I'd get the full working game and not some damn beta!
FCK BLIZZ D:
Now seriously, go and whine when the game's released with these bugs. But right now you're not doing anyone just. If you want a bugless game then dont play in beta phase.
We previously announced that the first phase of the StarCraft II beta test would be coming to a close in all regions on Monday, May 31. In order to prepare for the final phase of beta testing, we plan to extend the current phase in all regions until Monday, June 7. After this date, the beta test will be unavailable for several weeks while we make some hardware and software configuration changes for the final phase of the beta test and the release of the game. We plan to bring the beta test back online for a couple of weeks prior to the game’s launch to complete our testing. We’ll have more details to share about when this final phase will begin at a later date.
Please read it again

It is 4 days until the end of the first beta phase. Then they will be tuning the game software and hardware for a couple of weeks and then there will be another couple of weeks of beta testing to fix any leftover problems.
These sort of threads are not constructive. If you are going to post feedback about a beta then chill out and post your problems in a calm manner.
You managed to make the lobby crash! You must be proud (seriously!): you found a bug and that's what the beta is for. If you want to make this experience useful you can write a bug report either on the official forums or in here.
Please provide the name of the published map and the exact circumstances when it crashes. Blizzard is really eager to fix those critical bugs :)
I'm angry too. Due to the poor implementation of keypress events, this event is unusable and therefore a lot of creative map concepts are not possible. I'm convinced the best thing you can make with the GE is an improved Dota.
How B.net manages to spend an entire second processing a keypress when it takes the regular 150ms to process an ability hotkey is beyond me.
Ironically Blizzard's own SC Ghost map and their Lost Vikings map are not viable if you play by the rules (distribute maps on B.net etc).

The only things you can be angry about at this point (being a beta and all) are all the things Blizzard has said they do not intend to do such as chatrooms, better voice acting, client-side hosting, LAN, and large-scale rebalancing to name a few.
When it comes to bugs and crashes, that's the point of Beta.
Also, beta is supposed to mirror the final release. The only thing we don't have that is in the final release are the Campaign and its assets.
Of course Blizzard wants us to test out their LATEST Battle.NET, and not just some crappy one where they'll replace with an awesome, unbuggy BNET by the time they release their final product.
So the beta mirrors its final release, and it looks ugleh.
I'm not saying BNET 2 will forever be a mistake. Maybe they'll update it until it's acceptable to the majority.
I think Blizzard aimed for a TEEN rating to broaden the potential buyers. (That doesn't matter in my place. I can buy a sex-sim or GTA IV and they won't say, HEY! You're not old enough to buy this!)
In turn, they require all maps to be uploaded to their servers, where it will be searched for MATURE content, and only then can we play it online.
This means that no one can make a map where the preview image is a nude girl or something sick (Use your imagination for that one) unlike in WC3 where anyone can host that and Blizzard will be unable to stop this because they don't have time to.

I really don't think they will do pre-moderation on every map. However you are right, the maps being on their servers with a specific owner will make their life easier to track down inapropriate content.

Actually not that I think about Blizzard has a very good reason to try reaching a Teen rating (apart from more sales).
Many successful SC1 and WC3 players were no adults but minors. Especially in Korea most of the progamers are between 13 and 16 years old.
Blizzard will want to get a Teen rating because they don't want to lose this big part of their gaming scene.
I've seen that in one of the largest German tournaments here - one of the top players (I don't remember what game... CS, UT04 or WC3..) wasn't allowed to partake because he was 1 year too young and wasn't officially allowed to play that game D:
But in the US the rating is only an advisal, isn't it?

Yeah that's right beta ends in f*ing 3 days and it's working PERFECTLY as intended, awesome fucking game.
The beta is not ending in three days.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.
@Twinmold20: Go
Sorry 4 days, and my lack of faith is explained by a series of annoying, near unsupportable, situations caused by the new battle.net.

The lobby crashes when there's something wrong with game variants.

@s3rius: Go
You are correct; the ESRB has no force of law.
Sorry my need to fix and correct statements stalled my reading of this thread here so i must reply >.<
Those 2 maps were single player maps, thus still viable.
But ill agree with the rest of your statement on keypresses being badly implemented for multiplayer.
Even if they're 'single player maps' you're supposed to distribute them via the cloud.
