I've tried messing around by myself but it only make the attack come out of either the base of the goliath or base of the turret (I don't even remember what I did to achieve that). I think it has to do with me attaching the turret to the TurretZ attachment (which is also used by Goliath's turret), but I already put the site actor referencing the turret.
THANK YOU! I got it to work! The thing is, when I ticked Launch Force Site it seems to ignore the SOp I put on the Site Actor completely and instead uses the Launch Attachment Query on the Attack Actor itself. Thank you again for your help, good sir!
So now that I have my turret working, I have a new problem. As I attach my turret on a TurretZ attachment point that already have a turret to begin with (Goliath body), My turret behave strangely when acquiring target. It seems to assume the direction the goliath turret is facing to be its initial facing, even though the goliath turret already faces the target. This causes the turret to rotate to try acquiring the target (since it assumes the goliath turret facing to be its initial facing) resulting in weird turret facing. Example : The goliath is facing north. It acquires target 30 degrees to the east. The goliath turns its turret (body) 30 degrees to the east. The attached turret however, assumes the goliath body and itself is still facing north, and rotates 30 degrees to the east, making the attached turret face a total of 60 degrees to the east while trying to acquire target at 30 degrees east. Can anybody help me with this?
No, I want my attached turret to move independent of the goliath body so it can acquire targets correctly. I've attached picture showing where things go wrong. notice the facing of the goliath's leg and my turret. I've tried messing with SOp but i haveno idea what most of those do.
Something like this should be in the Data forum, for future reference.
Try changing the attchment point to something that moves with the body of the goliath cockpit. Model additions attched to TurretZ itself might not rotate is it is the pivot point of the turret.
So I made a turret on top of a goliath that fires a direct damage attack (like viking gatling), but it keeps firing from the goliath's main gun (not the turret). I've pretty much copy pasted ProzaicMuze's Tutorial (https://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/resources/tutorials/179702-data-working-with-turrets-beginner-difficulty).

Did you ensure that the Actor: Action Flags + field for the attack actor has Launch Force Site checked?
It doesn't say it in the tutorial itself, but it's a common problem and can be found in the replies to the tutorial.

Change the turret used by the goliath body to not turn to face the target?

How is the hosting of the Turret type actor set up?
