I average around 70-80 as well Hound. On basically all four maps I've done.
I figured that in most cases, downloads doesn't really mean much anymore, but I like the thought that at every map I've made, at least 70 to 80 people took the effort of downloading it to take a look. That's encouraging, even if it's a number everyone gets.
i think the download system (possibly on a separate platform) is ZE best indicator...
while most players are never going to leave a comment or rate... people who download have a purpose

I don't know.
Go to: http://sc2.curse.com/downloads/sc2-maps/default.aspx and find your map, it has basic download statistics. I think only "release" maps are shown there.

lol don't know, downloads on multiplayermaps are pretty useless. you can't use them without bnet, where every map already is
