Blizzard said that you can send them a message requesting a map to be featured. How to do so is written on the blizzard site where they describe the currently featured maps. (or, it was last I checked)
Well, that's all well and fine. I don't like this new feature. The two maps that are featured right now are complete crap compared to some of the maps that are out there.

Wait, there are maps out there that aren't complete crap?
Crush Company is a neat proof of concept but it's a little ironic that Blizzard is featuring a map which, most than anything else, illustrates how badly suited to action-type games the SC2 engine is.
My map is awesome... or at least I think so. It did pretty well for about a week before the novelty of it wore out. Still I have fun with it, a game or three a day.
That is pretty funny though, promoting Crush Company like that.
Also, the map makers that have their map featured have not been contacted by Blizzard. It's a bit lame, they could have least have sent them a gg or something :)

I tried your map today. Only one of the three players was able to actually garrison units in the city structures and overall it was just really confusing. I also didn't seem to have any choice as to which type of units I could produce. I like the concept a lot, but it needs work before I'd consider it playable.
Yea, even easy as I made it, people still seem to get confused. It plays wonderfully... when played right. It needs more work on teaching how people to play it the way it was meant to.
That's unfortunately, the correct answer. Just confirming it in case anyone was wondering, :P. But hey, maybe if your map gets enough Mapster publicity, Blizzard will hijack it from our news and feature it on Bnet.
What is this new feature on battlenet? How do you make your map to have status "featured"?
@Azzaaer: Go
Get lucky, its totally up to blizzard.
Currently unknown as no official method to select featured map has been annouced. Might be bot selecting random map at the bottom of the list

@SquarelyCircle: Go It is commenting at their post or so, at least that's not possible in EU since they dont have a blog about it
@progammer: Go
hehe, well we in EU have nothing compared to US. :) We gets only shadows of whats done in US SC2.

Blizzard, as expected, will feature maps that make SC2 look cool, instead of play cool.

Also that featured, feature was tested during SCII beta too with some official maps.
