Well I think there is a way to assign players to a start location. I personally never use them, I just use regular points instead. It is easier that way, and you don't have to worry about the lobby bug.
@DerNalia: Go You can use the normal melee triggers, creates a nexus/cc/hatch and 6 worker at the starting location. If you want fixed starting races and locations, you can edit it in player properties.
Well, the race is currently up to the player (from the create menu screen). But, I would like them to be able to choose where they start. Do you know how I would do that?
My solution would be to create a dialog when the map initializes, have each player pick a race there and then a location (the location could only be chosen by one player, obviously) and then (say, when a time runs out) run the following:
Create points on your map where you would normally utilize your start locations, then reference those points in a variable, then reference that variable when players are picking their points and their start locations are started on the map.
I put 12 starting locations on my map.
How do I select, in code, which one to spawn at?

Great to be back and part of the community again!

do you know hoW?
Create unit at point.
@Eiviyn: Go
So, I need to manually create the base, and the workers?
There isn't any "Spawn base and workers at this point" function. or anything similar.

[Race] and [player 1] would each clearly have to be stated in a variable, alongside the [Position]. (Game Link/Integer/Point, respectively)
Hope that little bit can help.
@Blixster: Go
how do I link the [Position]?

Thank you, kind sir. You have pointed me to where I need to be!
