If you want 2 set it's max health to 1 there is a section that has stats life maximum and simply set that number to 1. If you want a unit who as allot of health and start with 1 hp then simply go down 3 slots that there will be life starting amount and simply put that number at 1. oh and fyi I have discovered through hours of annoyance that some things that seem logical to us is not logical to the data/ trigger editor.
I would go in2 the triggers and go in2 the modify unit property ill look around a bit to make sure you can do this. the name of the trigger is "set unit property" Or if im still missing the point of the question please be a little more specific.
thanks joecab, u gave me an idea that i wasnt thinking of . i got it to work with using a damage effect to set of the event for your triggered suggestion :)
how to set a unit to 1 hp in the data editor? im trying to use the effect "modify unit" .. but i have no idea why its not working.
i tried Fraction -.99 , ive tried .01 , ive tried -9..
it seems anything with a minus in the fraction instantly kills the unit, and anything that doesnt have a - adds to the unit..
probably im just doing it all wrong.. how to set a unit to 1 hp ?

thanks for the answer but that is different to what i was asking for. That applies when you spawn heros or revive them , or purchase them..
im doing it from an ability.. When a buff expires, it does the effect "i not sure" to set a unit to 1 hitpoint. any idea which effect can do this?
