I'm not sure how there's 700 doodads in there, but you can easily go up to 2000 without any having FPS drops. Income Wars has 1260 doodads, runs smoothly and is WAY heavier on the PC since it has way bigger battles. I wouldn't be too worried about performance just yet. If this map is intended for 1v1 or 2v2 play you can at least double your current amount of doodads without seeing any performance changes.
That said - aside from the doodads (map border needs decoration for one, but the whole thing is rather empty), the overal theme is pretty nice. Plenty of texture play and an all-round good feeling. I do have to agree with BorgDragon though; where's the lush jungle? The middle of the map is jungle-y, the rest of the map has more dirt than anything plantlike. The bases, and specifically the gold expo's with that, could use some texture work. Additionally, I really like what you've done with the LOS blockers south of that Xel'Naga tower, but I think you can improve that area by adding some more plants around the LOS blockers - make it feel like thick jungle you're passing through, not just a line of plants.
Last but not least, some more screenshots wouldn't hurt. What you have now would be ok if your 'entire map' screenshot was a big one that allowed zooming in, but right now I haven't at all been able to see A) the mains, B) the dead center of the map, C) those two little outcrops at the top and bottom middle of the map, D) the high yield expo entrances and E) the left and right low ground expansions.
Nice work Scorp. I'm liking this more with every update. Main comment would still be the earlier mentioned "where's the lush jungle?". Aside from that, it's looking pretty nifty. The borders could be improved though - you should decrease the map a little bit and shrink the camera size to stick to the playable map, so that scrolling to the edge will show the actual map edge only on the side of your screen. This allows you to get rid of that ugly high ground area you've surrounded the low-ground jungle with.
