The search function yielded nothing for me on this subject, and it's a wierd one: the space platform destructible barrier type unit AND doodad are both "sunken" into the ground, so to speak, in both the editor and game for me. Wondered if anyone else encountered this or know what's causing it. Here's a link to a picture of the phenomenon. Thanks.
I've had the same problem for awhile now. I though it was just me screwing something up in the data editor, but recently I watched Husky playing the SC1 remake and the barrier doodads were sunken into the ground too (I checked some SC2 campaign maps, same there). I think it's happening because blizz added attachment points to the model at some point.
Solutions (starting with the most simple and crude one)
select them all (ctrl+shift+a) and set height to 0.41
do what Eiviyn said
make the doodad use the "origin" attachment point as it's.. uhh.. ground point (no idea how)

Weird. Are they sunken in the actual game too?
A solution would be to just add a local offset site operation. See the "HigherBy3" SOp to see what I mean.
