I'm having some problems. I have duplicated a Baneling and clicked the attack set effect and damage stuff, also the model and the unit itself.
Now I want my new baneling to become a smaller Baneling so a different model. Now the problem is that I have succesfully made the new model but the basic model of Baneling also still is in my unit links list and it also chooses the Baneling standard model when placing the unit on the map.
All editor names are different and correctly put in. I just want to know if it is possible to removes certain links (the standard ones) so it chooses only the custom one.
also this you may reduce the size of the model easily in the data editor without a new model of your unit.
Although if your looking for a new custom model or a simplistic model to conserve video graphics, Catalisk's way is the correct one from my little understand of how things work.
Hope you are able to figure everything out from our ideas.
Thanks for being a member of the forum.
You can scale the model under the unit actor for your duped unit, you can Set Scale over a period so your baneling can actually shrink conditionally under the actor events. If you right click the tree you can get the editor to show link which allows you to see how it is still connected.

@eLeCtroDiels: Go
bump?
Can somebody help me out with this plz :)
If you only want a smaller baneling, you can use a trigger for that:
UnitSetScale((UnitLastCreated()), 100.0, 100.0, 100.0)
That's a horrible way to do it nexius.
When you duplicate the baneling, also check the box that duplicates the linked model and the actor. The game will relink to the copies for you.
