When I run an IssueOrder - Move Effect, the unit moves to the location but ignores all attacks upon it. How do I get the unit to respond to attacks while en-route?
Is there a good tutorial on related data topics? For instance, I have tried to use markers, but its not going well. I have searched, the tutorials are all very basic instructions on the structure of abilities and effects but they do not contain deeper knowledge.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me so far, as I dive deeper into data editing, my problems are getting more difficult to solve on my own...
Sometimes the most obvious things eludes us eh? I have been using issueOrder - attack unit, with move commands instead of issueOrder attack point. thanks.

To anyone who knows:
1. How do I get units to respond to attacks while en-route to a location from an IssueOrder - Move Effect.
2. How do I reference the target of a previous search effect, to check to see if that target is still alive.
I am messing with markers to find the target unit of a previous search effect, but i think i need a tutorial or something.
It sounds like you just need to order it to attack towards a point instead of move.
