So, since blizzard said Locusts are set to attack move when created by Swarm Hosts I've been wondering the best way to do it. The Rally ability is locked to move as far as I know and it's not possible to simply make it so the unit is ordered to attack move. And the rally ability doesn't create persistents or any kind of effect that could be targeted by an Issue Order effect. So, what's the best way to make an unit attack move all the way to the rally point instead of simply move?
The only way I've found to do it is a little convoluted but works perfect. Just use a point instead of a unit and order it to Attack to the point... if your target is a unit, as it probably is, set up a trigger to move the point to the unit (every .1 seconds if necessary)
Probably use an Arm Magazine Ability with an external magazine and use the default of spawned units to attack the scope of the host Attack ability. In short like a brood lord but targetable like a carrier.
Also from the footage I have seen it does not seem they rally the locusts.
@Bilxor: Go So you're propposing a trigger solution. That's far from perfect as the mod is supposed to be easily applied to differents maps. But I'll keep that in mind anyway, thanks for the tip.
@DrSuperEvil: Go Yeah, but people who had a chance to test it reported Swarm Hosts can place a rally point, and somewhere blizzard stated that locusts can attack move to the rally point. I'll give your suggestion a try.
Do not forget new features are being added with the expansion like missile effects allowing teleport.
With the current features I cannot think of any way to have attack command and rally. Well with the exception of the Spawn behaviour. As that spawns larvae that can then be rallied using the same host unit. And would apply an effect that makes them hostile.

Whoa! It turns out I wont need any workaround, because blizzard already added the new feature for Locusts. That's exactly what the new Acquire Rally unit flag does. If that flag is checked that unit type acquires targets on way to the rally point.
I'm going to edit the wiki and include this information.
