Is it possible to make a stun in the data editor? By stun I mean unit A uses spell A on unit B now player 2 can't control unit B for 5 seconds unless he uses spell B to break free from spell A's stun. I want to make a lot of stuns, roots, slows, ect style spells for the heroes in my map. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to make the stun work, I'm guessing stuns and roots are the same(or can you attack while rooted but not stunned, is there a difference).
Slow is easy to make, just apply a behavior that lowers run speed, if I want I can use triggers to make it a percentage unless you can do that in data only too.
I was looking through and saw something called generate threat. I'm not sure if I was in the right area but it seems to work, not the generate threat. I was just wondering what the generate threat does. I found one that said uncommandable and I think that might work better, since they won't be using anything most of the time.
I'm trying to make a silence ability where the unit that gets hit can't use their abilities but can still move. But what happens is when I tell it not to allow abilities the unit can't move then.

use the same buff, instead go to the behaviour section of the buff
then have it do
-Disable abilities -Suppress movement -Suppress turning.
And thats your stun
This would be a stun, disabling attacking, abilities and movement.
Roots WC3 style would disable attacking and movement, but no abilities or turning. So supress movement and supress weapons (?) would do that.
Ensnare WC3 style would still allow attacks, so skip the supress weapons part.
