I am really confused about the whole "unit duplication" option in the data editor. When i copy the unit, the whole unit isn't duplicated. For example if i duplicate the marine unit, i check of all the boxes, including the model "Marine". Even though i did that, the model is not copied, but others are, and those aren't even necessarily prober models. How do i make it work?!
Look into how a unit is put together before you start blindly copying everything. Copying everything is not only unnecessary, but not what you want. Even Blizzard has more than one unit linked to some of the assets. (Archon and HybridC (Maar), for example)
The duping function is fundamentally flawed. Just look at the thread about duped spine crawlers. With those the turret actor is not up for duping and doing so corrupts two fields of the action actor. Most missile action actors have their events corrupted on duping which creates an error and makes the missile launch from the origin attachment point. If possible avoid duping and copy/paste individual things as you need since otherise you will end up with a whole lot of junk you never use and may overlook aspects that might be important for ballence.

Great to be back and part of the community again!

I see, but that doesn't explain why it doesn't show up with the model, does it?
