Its simple actually you can do it all with out any trigger or data work. First you simply place your doodad on the map, then double left click the doodad OR select it and press enter OR go up to the top left of the terrain editor and press edit after selecting the doodad, go to the bottom of the list and click modify properties. It doesn't really matter how you did it all three methods get you to the same screen. Once you have the "Object properties" window open simply click the "ignore placement requirements' check box and now you can place the doodad anywhere you want to.
Here is an example of some doodad trees on a cliff that i made up in 5 mins
Then inside the same window there is a thing that looks like a pie chart and you can change the angle with that by dragging the line inside the circle or punching in the number of degrees yourself, take a look at the whole thing i wish i did when i first started, you can do allot of things in it like changing height and color and size. not sure what some of the other things do but i never really needed them.
Yeah, when you place it on the ramp like in my map, it automatically (which ignore placement requirements on) angles to the slope the ramp if places on a ramp.
no that only works with buildings were it automatically goes with the slope of the ramp, the doodads don't automatically anchor themselves to the curving of the ramp. notice the cannons in the picture go with the ramp but the doodads do not. so if he is looking for that the simple solution without going into all the data is make it an invulnerable building. I personally don't know, how to tilt doodads. sorry for some reason i was thinking the picture from a top view i was so confused, now i see what you are trying to do.
i think its possible, I'm sure you can tilt a doodad just like you can tilt a unit. may b look up that tutorial with the flipped wraith and see if doodads have some of the same values used as the units use to flip them. think the tutorial featured attachment points at a "beguinner difficulty" attaching a turret on top of a bunker and at the bottom of his post he shows how to flip a wraith upside down.
A unit that works like a doodad really isn't a big deal.....look at all the units that have "Destructible" in their name, they are basically doodad units, just pick one you don't need then change its model and make it invulnerable & untargetable (in Unit - Flags)
I know this is an older post, but I figured out how to do this. If you go to the data editor and find the model that's linked to your doodad, structure, or unit, and look at it, there's something called 'tipability.' Looking at the differences between the Pylon and the Photon Cannon made me realize that this controls how much the unit will tip with the terrain, from 0 to 1.

Ok, is there any ways to set doodads on the ramps like on screenshot:

I think he wants to change the angle of it.

I think he's asking about tipping the doodad to match the slope of the ramp.

Yup. I need doodad with the slope of the ramp while it on the ramp =) So it impossible as I see. =(

"Unselectable" might also come in handy in the unit flags when doing that. (Or does Untargetable prevent selection as well?)
