Trying to make jet like unit. I made trigger that detects if unit is idle and orders it to move to point with degree offset. But it doesn't look good, unit stops and then starts moving which look weird, I want it to not completely stop moving even though technically unit stopped so it looks more natural.
Make the Jet a missile mover. When the jet is launched it is fired towards the target location. When its orders are changed it gets redirected at a new target. Te mover is designed such that it never will stop at the target but instead keep orbiting around the place. The Jet unit itself is configured like desired so that it can attack while moving, be selected/targeted and killed in combat.
Just like carrier's interceptors? Unfortunately i can't implement it.
They work slightly differently and are not fired as missiles.
I was saying that the Jet be fired as missile by Missile effect and then the missile mover is set to never impact but rather orbit the target. Redirect effects can then be used to alter the target point of the jet.
each time the jet gets an order, give it one more order via triggers with an far offset into the same direction. i do the same in banshee fight (try it once) to keep it flying.
if you lower the turn speed alot and give an order close to the unit but it's not able to face it immediatly it will move in a circle around the target point.
another thing would be kinetic effects, didnt use them yet but it should be possible to make a unit move in a circle around a point, maybe you have to adjust only facing.
I have a trigger that detects if unit is idle, adds it to unit group that has periodic ever 0.01 seconds command to move with polar offset, that works unit is circling but i cant detect player giving order to it so it will be removed from group.

try messing with the unit's deceleration, or maybe look to see how the interceptor works

I made temporary solution. Unit gets 6 patrol points when it's idle, it's still not circle but at least unit is not stopping every .3 seconds.

That colides my other triggers. Can't do, jet must be normal unit with air mover.

unit is moving backwards without caring about turning speed, same if i check "turn before movement" flag
