The question and purpose of this thread is the title, as despite the fact that some modelers can make death animations they are the lest done request, and are often ignored. Is this because thay are difficult? Time consuming? Both? or are they just not seemed usefull, in that case they are visual details to IDENTIFY what died, same as unit models are only to visually identify the unit. Heck, I have seen someone (forgot who) make a physics affected starship troopers bug death on this site. Not to overburden you but making custom death models along with your units helps a lot and makes the mod/map seem much more polished. I get that this is your free time however.
Example: A few threads down lays an unanswered model request about death models.
If you don't want to do all your models I get that, but could someone please make the deaths and possibly ragdoll deaths for the blizzard units that lack them.
This is not for any one modeler, but is meant as a community job to finish what blizzard has not, despite their good job.

Ragdolls are easy enough with the art tools tutorial.
I also have an obsession with polish, so you can imagine once I get into my project again and am no longer suffering from the effects of a second pneumonia infection, my units with their 10-150 particles, 50-200+ sounds, voice acting, custom normals, etc. will take forever to get just right. It is highly unlikely any more than a dozen or so Blizzard models will be left untouched in the game when I am done. Reasons like this are why requests are not really a thing. Everyone has their own projects. I have like 69 million things I would love for Delphinium to do, but he has his space browder project to make, so on so forth. That said, I'd also be interested in the resources he speaks of.
I have no idea if its possible to make ragdoll deaths using Blender. But as far as I remember acid and fire deaths are basically retextures, so I think I may be able to create a few of those.
@IskatuMesk: Go That's true, most modellers are way too busy with their projects. But considering most of my projects were abandoned and probably won't see the light of day, and the fact that I'm getting mighty tired of data work, my main contribution to sc2 community is as an artist. So "wasting" my time for a few of these won't be bad.
EDIT: Just remember Blizz said all BW units will appear in LotV. We know at least some will, like dragoons. If that's true some of those may not be needed after LotV release.
Good point on the dragoon and BW units, I added a note to it. However they didn't add ragdoll deaths for any campaign units other than medic, onlt because she specifically gets picked up by kerrigans crushing grip in the 2nd mission, so they wanted it to look good.

I've never made a valkyrie model. XibadivS has. And I think that it already has death animations, cause his model packs are always complete.
Note: You can download our public mod from battle.net (search for scr-tgw or scrtgw in the editor). It already have some of the models you're looking for.

eh.. if you dude think that blizzard models will eliminate the need for a dragoon, then you're not getting the point of modding.. at least from my perspective..

Hi, I did plenty of death models before. It's not very hard if you get the method. (Of course it still needs some patient and practice.)
I can offer a group of particle and material assets for most death animations use, and a tutorial for Death and ragdoll death.

I have an obsession with visual polish which is likely why my mod is still in beta.
Paste this into actors to get the ragdoll, just replace (UNIT) with the name of your ragdoll actor, just copy one off a similar sized unit

Fixed that, and for the Valkyrie notice it says ragdoll death, I know it has a death animation as I have been through most mods looking for models.
