Amateur map maker here with possible a newbie question, apologies if this is the wrong forum i have no idea where to even begin.
So im working with the Rory Swann unit and what i'd like to accomplish is take his sort of flash light and make it more effective, increase the radius/make it use-able in a dark environment instead of just the gimicky/show it has now. I'd also (if possible) like to make the flash light toggle-able with an in-game skill button.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this, or point me in the correct direction to start looking?
The flashlights on Rory and Tychus are part of the models and cannot be modified/removed without using 3rd party 3D modeling software. You could add to the light by creating LightOmni effects, but imo it would look bad because you'll always have the default spotlight sitting there as well.
I believe there are some modelers who have published assets of these units without their flashlights, but they're kinda wonky/glitchy.
