An easy fix would be to add a wait in there between entries the player submitted. If it is found to be faster than this permaban the player.
Have you seen how fast he was killing units? That is just the time to send to the server the order to kill. You don't have even time to press "Enter" to open the chat box.
Also, he was not reading all the words he "typed." Nothing was coming out in the chat. He wasn't typing. He wasn't even opening the chat box. Units were just dying instanly, all of them (less than 0.2 seconds).
The most convincing explanation so far is that he was able to change triggers (perhaps found a way to ignore conditions). Imagine if he does that for a map like Blizzard DOTA? O.o
I don't know the coding details, but I'd say he's found a way to create a program that reads words as they pop up and then instantly inserts them into chat.
He did not type. His team confirmed.
What I really think is that he found a way to call triggers ignoring the trigger conditions.
And yeah, most people rate 5 stars because they only rate the maps they liked. Except those rage quitters, they rate 1 star because to rage quit (when something bad happened to them in game, such as being trolled).
This is a replay from Nexus Word Wars. I know it's a custom game, but I do believe that cheat can work for any other Starcraft map.
Watch MrNukealizer in the replay. He is playing pretty much alone against 3 of the best players and he instantly kills every unit without typing.
1st: You can't automate a script that types all the words because there are more than 6000 of them, and they come randomly.
2nd: He is not even typing. He killed units with words like "antidisestablishmentarianism" in less than 0.2 seconds. At this speed, you didn't even press "Enter" yet. And he DIDN'T read the word above the unit before instant killing the unit (follow his cam).
People are quite upset that he can kill every unit instantly without even typing. I cannot imagine how could he be doing that except that is an instant kill hack.
edit: It seems MrNukealizer is one of the creators of the public maphack's. He also hacked blizz bank signatures...
That is exactly what I said. I realized the same problem already. Soon many people will realize that. It should at least be ordered the opposite way (longer you wait in lobby, more your chances of getting a player).
Right now, if you don't get full house in 6 minutes, you can give up and host again because nobody else will come. You host again and people come.
So, now with patch 1.5, what is your average lobby time?
Mine is about 5 min for Word Wars.
20 min for Hindrance Wars.
Maybe because it's the first day and everyone is just hosting new lobbies.
edit: By the way, so far my best guess is that lobbies are sorted by when the lobby was opened (last created lobbies in the top, which is bad decision).

no. It's not page 1, so its not popular.

Be careful Mephs. The biggest problem of us mappers low-rating someone else map is that they would do the same with our maps.
If I give Bounty's maps 1 star, he will come rage-quitting giving 1 star to all my maps. And that would ruin their 5 stars.

People's natural tendency of blaming the victim pisses me off (Just-World).
"Oh you got raped? There must be a reason. You shouldn't have been dressed like this walking alone at night!"
"Oh you had a car accident? You must be a terrible driver. You should have paid attention!"
"Oh you got banned? You deserved it for being an asshole."

Yeah. Reverse the order sounds better than a refresh button because:
1. It's more intuitive. Some people would never understand what the refresh btn is for.
2. It removes AFK hosts from the list, so the list gets much smaller. AFK hosts will be filled up quickly and they will be gone in minutes.

Patch 1.5 brought players back to Nexus Word Wars. So, the map got some small changes. You can see now your WPM.
Game has been published on US and EU!
Here's a replay with the top 10 best US players (including me of course)

Nothing beats the guy who rated 1 star for Word Wars because he was upset the map was a Starcraft Custom Map.
If people are rating 1 star because the map is a custom map, you can expect rage quitters in every single map.

So, someone just reported to me that there is a player who is capable of instant killing every unit.
Here's the replay: https://www.chatroomcontest.com/sc2/InstantKillReplay.SC2Replay

Korean players who joined the game using a Korean keyboard also rate 1 star.
I think it's impossible for a map to have 5 stars after a while.
