posted a message on Why is happiness so important?

So, recently I was debating with myself why love is so important. After much thinking I found an answer. "It is important because it is what makes us happy." Now I'm trying to answer why is happiness so important, but I'm already weeks without an answer. I CAN'T FIND AN ANSWER! Any help?

There are lots of effects without causes due to quantum mechanics. The
casimir effect, virtual particles, quantum tunneling, and even
radiation. We've detected this all in the lab. It's not made up.

Newtonian physics don't apply to the quantum world. [...]
If you want to understand the workings of the universe, you have to
start thinking differently. If you don't, then be happy with not knowing
like the rest of us. :P

First, just because the effects of a possible cause were detected in the lab doesn't make the cause an absolute truth. There's a lot of evidence for silly things. For example, you know that the amount of storks in a region is positively correlated with the number of babies being born in that same region? I knew that sex was a lie and storks bring babies.

Is scientific explanations compelling? Usually yes. Can we be 100% sure? Never. Now you ask me to start thinking differently. To think that science must be right in this black-hole theory is far from "thinking differently." Most people think or religion or science is right. I'm thinking differently and saying that they are both wrong.

And just because we have detected matter that suddenly appears out of nowhere, IT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S COMING FROM NOWHERE! I mean, why isn't anybody here considering the possibility of multiple dimensions and they are just moving through those dimensions? And if they are indeed coming from a different dimension, that argument can't apply to the big bang.

Ok, I watched your video Dogmai. My criticism is that, although simple, I'm not buying that "time doesn't exist in the black hole" and that "there's an effect without a cause" and that "it's ok for matter to suddenly appear inside the big bang because it was small and matter appears into really small things" just because it's a simple explanation. It sounds to me somebody just made that up, did some calculations and saw that it doesn't really break any law, so it must be it because it's the simplest explanation. I still have no question answered. I still don't know about anything.

If that video was trying to show that God doesn't exist, it might have gone the other way around by showing that Science is also making things up. In the end, both the scientific side and the religious side sounds unappealing. I gotta create my own explanation. Perhaps I'll make one where I create the universe.

If you have some time watch this video. It was filmed some time in the 70s. So the information in the video has been available for about 40 years or longer. New stuff has come to light like the ancient nuclear reactor in Africa believed by the researcher to be made by a advance beings that settled on this planet in the past. You can either believe that it was naturally made or advance begins made it because that is the most efficient way to build a nuclear reactor when you come from a Galaxy far far away.

"Human beings have 5 fingers because they are created for the 5th dimension." LOOOL. I'm loving this second video. So entertaining. Sadly, it's 5 hours long, and I feel I'm wasting my time if I watch it for more than half hour. My exams are less than 1 week ahead and I'm here, procrastinating.

edit: I like the conclusions of the people in this video. "He went to South Pole and died. Therefore, the only logical explanation is that aliens defeated him."

    I LOVE YOU

EDIT: On a non-joking side, it's really cool. How long did it take to do what you have so far? :P

(I love how you roll the dice on chess :D)

You should think about adding Monopoly (No pun intended)

The project took me about 2-3 months of work (from scratch, like reinventing the wheel for network and implementing my own protocols and file-transference. The transference of files is crypted by the way, and the key is only shared with those in the room. I'll post all the source code and documentation soon. The engine library I made can be used to develop any multiplayer game).

Any user can add a board game in minutes. If you add a cool one, I can make it official.

Hey guys. I know you all love me so much. I also love you too. ♥

    [Narcissism off]

So, this is what I've been doing. A system that allows you to create and host any board or card game and play multiplayer with others. And it's open-source.

    www.projectlivetable.com

I haven't really tested yet. Like... never played before. It's beta. :)

    your mother....lol

What happend Rodrigo I am VERY dissapointed in you.

You could make an AWESOME debate map with the cutscene editor, Make it so the camera points to the person whos turn it is to talk, would be bad ass.

have them all standing around a big table, or sitting if possible, You dissapoint me, you should have it done already :P

Just imagine, A topic goes on the screen in Bright Green letters, And the players have to debate it, over the course of 3 round, Each round consist of Every player getting 1 turn to speak, and then voting who won at the end of each round.

    Would be epic...

And then you can have a leveling system to pick your character.

You could even use SM characters so that the lips would actually move while its their turn to talk!!!!

COME ON WOULD BE EPIC WHERE YOU AT ON THIS

Lol. Maybe it would. But maybe I shouldn't invest so much into debates lol. I had a new map idea fully planned for SC2. A map called MoTA.

MoTA (Marriage of the Ancients) is a satirical love map where players had to marry each other. The game play was quite unique. I won't reveal much of the mechanics, but yeah, I'm not going to implement it anymore. I gave up. Right now I'm finishing my class open-source gaming project :P

Sorry Rodrigo, I love you and all, but you chose a good place to crop it :)

Sc2ranks data isn't instantly updated! Don't you guys know how sc2ranks work? EVERY MAP has 0 games played in the last day. It's because it takes weeks for the data to be processed. A few days ago the "going up" graph was actually going down. I cropped it where the data can be considered accurate while I wait for the rest to load.

Look at desert strike for example: http://www.sc2ranks.com/map/142/desert-strike

Every map goes down to the bottom because the data is incomplete.
