In the top of the right hand side of the data editor, there are a bunch of options, and one of them is "Show Default Values" or something. If these are the only fields you are seeing, I am pretty sure that you have this option disabled. You want this on, I actually recommend having them all on, but that is partly personal preference.
I see, well I do have them all enabled but I still get nothing. However when I get on the Stacraft II Beta editor I dont have this problem at all.
EDIT: Never mind! restarted the editor, problem solved. That was weird...
hello
I was wondering if someone could explain to me where i can modify the values listed below
-unit hit point and shield points
-attack range
-attack speed
-armor
and thats pretty much all i need for now
im looking into the unit data for the marine and i cant find a HP value field. i dont know if im soppose to be looking into the actor data or something else to find it.
seeing that blizzard is going to wait for the expansion until they release a snow tileset, we could rip the snow tilesets from world of warcraft. Wow's snow tilesets look very nice and have a bump map texture.
if this is true then how the hell am i going to test my map? are you sure there isn't a way to invite a friend in? im guessing that's the only way for now.
since the last patch "mouse camera movement" can no longer be used with Camera Yaw of Player.
im seeing that many 3rd person maps suffer from the exact same problem as my map. anyone have an idea on fixing this? better yet, who has a link to a better more solid 3rd person engine tutorial?
EDIT: ok ive seemed to narrow it down to "Angle: Camera Yaw of Player" no longer works with "mouse and camera movement" since the last patch. "Angle: Camera Yaw of Player" only applies to your default game camera and wont be affected when moving the camera yaw around with the mouse.

@cinicraft: Go
I think my editor isnt properly setup, when i click on the marine in the data table i only get this useless information to modify:
Editor Suffix:
Editor Prefix:
Editor Flags: Block Structures
Editor Description:
Editor Comment:
Editor Categories: ObjectType:Unit,ObjectFamily:Melee
thats pretty much all i can do to any unit in the editor, i dont see any kind of HP value fields or command cards

this is much better than testing the whole map hundreds of times to ensure balance :P
