    I know this may sound obvious, but are you sure you set a slot as AI? Maybe you just tested the map right away, and that may have caused the lack of the AI. You should try this map in a lobby and set one of the slots to be a computer.

    posted a message on Freezing a unit's animation?

    Hello everybody, as the title says I'm searching for a way to freeze a unit's animation indefinitely. As you might say "search before you post!". And I actually did, but the only way I found scavenging the forums is using certain behaviors. Isn't there another way? Expecially using triggers, since that's the principal way I do stuff in my project. I tried issuing a non-existent animation to a Banshee, or some anim which it didn't have, hopefully freezing it. My intent is to freeze a banshee's animation, so that it resembles a non-active banshee, standing on platform (this is a major example to explain that I use triggers, as this was achievable with a data editor but I used a trigger to set the height).

    If someone could shed some light on the issue, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot!

    I found out that if cinematic mode is disabled, I can finally see the text of the various transmissions. However, before it worked with cinematic mode on as well, so I wonder what's the matter. The camera which screws up still doesn't work (it's a follow-unit camera, it doesn't go smooth but keeps screwing up...the best way I can think of to describe it is "like it is lagging").

    Also I had one last question: I have made a panel with clickable images, so that the player can get infos on various heroes I will include during the course of the campaign. The question is: when I click a button, another panel appears with text that slowly appears (describing the hero). However if I click another button after having clicked one, I can see the blurred, old text behind the newly created text (with other hero description). Any help is welcome :)

    Hey SC2Mapsters, I have recently come back to modding and I wanted to resume an old project of mine. Unfortunately, as soon as I tested the map, I realized why I scrapped it and modding in general: the map started to bug for no reason at all! That is a thing that happened many times to me over the course of modding, even back in WC3, and is the main reason I never completed anything. Many projects, at a certain, random point, started to bug out. For example, my map starts with a brief cinematic, in which a dropship drops 3 units. I tested the map extensively back when I started it, and everything went fine until the point in which the cinematic had major, unexplainable bugs: for istance, the dropship pilot won't talk. As soon as the units are dropped, one of them talks but nothing, there is just the portrait but no text. The camera that follows one of the units now screws up and it's really buggy, pretty hard to explain. I checked all the triggers and everything but to no success.

    Please guys give me a hand cuz I'm starting to be desperate on the matter. Any help is welcomed... :) P.S: I'm not posting the map for obvious reasons, even if it is nothing more than a couple of triggers + terrain I still don't want others to freely download it. So if someone has to take a closer look I will send it via PM, or through other means. Thanks again :)

    EDIT: I just noticed the Broken Maps category, and I will await for thread closure. Meanwhile if someone can shed some light to my issue it would be greatly appreciated :)

    I must say I was really impressed by all of your work guys - so much that I wanted to try making my own building. I'm just missing a pair of doodads, I REALLY searched through ALL the damn doodads but I couldn't find a door that doesn't look like one big entrance and those wooden tables I seen in some of your screenies. I'm asking this here to avoid opening any other threads.

    I must congratulate myself once again with everybody, really good job!

    EDIT: Also those really cool fences? :)

    Ouch. For some reason those are gray to me, that's why I never cared about those before. I can't click on them nor do anything. Any reason you have in mind?

    I'm sorry to bring up this thread again, but I feel the urge to in order to not open a new one. I've found out why my lights are not working...I discovered my decalmania decorations are not working either! It seems that the editor uses bad quality settings, even if I have those set to high! The fact is, I'm now on that uber pc capable of handling the best without any trouble. The video card has a memory of its own and it's imba. But it seems that the editor is not affected by the settings specified in the game, and so the question comes fast: how the heck do I affect the editor's quality settings? Thanks again, I hope for a fast answer :D

    P.S: Also found out all lights and models are completely fine ingame. It's just the editor's bad settings.

    Yeah, my other PC has Win7 and an NVDIA Geforce that is just hot. Anyway most of the doodads involving light do not work for me, unfortunately.

    Thanks alot for the reply! I was losing hope :) My video card on this pc really sucks, I'm either getting a new PC (since vista eats half the RAM) or a new video card. Anyway it's an ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO.And it sucks, I know. I'm now going to check the campaign map you said, editing this post later. Thanks alot once again ;)

    I've been wondering this for quite some time, but I always thought it was because my computer had a crappy graphic card. Even turning the settings of Lights and Shades to ultra, still nothing. I'm talking about the Lights in the editor and Lights in general: they do not seem to affect anything at all! I've followed the tutorial about WC3 DNC colouration. I'm satisfied with the result, but my lights do not work at all!

    Any help is rather welcome :)
