Managed to figure it out, was far simpler that I thought. Had to add the learn requirement under research. Thanks.

    @fishy77: Go

    Thanks for the fast reply.

Yeah it seems like I do. If you have a look at the mod file I uploaded, the requirement for the upgrade is called "LearnIncreasedRange".

I'm genuinely stumped. Again this wasn't an upgrade that I made, it's simply a locked upgrade that I reintroduced. Not sure what else I should look at.

    Thank you very much again.

posted a message on Added upgrade - research button won't disappear?

Hi all. I've been tring to add a locked out but existing upgrade to a mod I'm making, namely Immortal Range.

I've added the upgrade to the robo bay's research ability, added the button to research it and it works perfectly in game.

However the button to research doesn't disappear after you've researched. In fact you can research it multiple times in a queue. I don't understand why as the requirement node is set (increasedrange, Queuedorbetter).

I've uploaded an example of the change I've made as a mod file attached to this post.

The name of the upgrade is simply "IncreasedRange".

Can anyone point to what I'm missing? Thanks.

posted a message on Creating a test map with control of all 3 races?

Hi again. I'm looking to create a test map where I have control of all 3 races and, importantly, they are hostile to each other.

I've been messing with the player properties on my map and I can't seem to achieve it through this.

Has anyone done something similar before? If so, how did you achieve it? I know it is possible given the unit tester available on arcade.

    Thanks in advance.

posted a message on Adding another command card to a unit.

Hello, I'm looking to add another command card I've created to a unit. I'm basically tring to allow larva to have another command card with all the zerg campaign units on it. I added a card, the appropriate buttons with all the proper linked commands to the larva unit; however I can't get it to show up in game since when you select larva to build a unit, only card number 1 shows up.

I'm guessing I need some sort of button to allow access to card number 2 with all the campaign units, no idea what button and commands to link to do so though.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

EDIT: Managed to figured it out. Made a new button, linked my new command card to it and it worked great.

posted a message on Overlord can't morph into Overseer on my maps?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah everything checks out, all requirements are fine and the ability is in that field.

I've made it identical to the stock HotS maps settings.

    Anything else I can check?

    Thanks.

EDIT: Got it figured out, thanks.

posted a message on Overlord can't morph into Overseer on my maps?

Hi folks, I'll try to keep this short and sweet.

I created a map and wanted to use campaign units. So I set the dependencies to Swarm (Mod), Swarm Campaign, Liberty (Mod) and Liberty Campaign. Because of this, it removed a few abilities such as making Broodlords and spreading creep via Overlords.

I've since manually restored these abilities , but the one I cannot for the life of me get working is morphing overlords to overseers. I have restored the button to morph to overseer to the command card and linked the appropriate ability to it - Morph to overseer under command type - ability command. This is how it is on all the HotS maps, but for whatever reason the button simply doesn't appear in game.

Anyone any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.
