You have to set the Expire Effect to the damaging effect of the Scarab, as the Suicide just kills the unit, without doing anything. I can't really tell you anymore as I'm not so good on the editor, but I think this would solve your problem.
The unit dieing when not hitting nothing after a period of time it's the timed life fate. You could have a look at it and search for the Expire Effect. There you could set the Scarab damage effect.
Like most portrait models since Heart of the Swarm (including Heroes of the Storm) the portrait model of Storymode characters consists on the model itself (which is usually an Storymode one) and the background. Just search for "Kerrigan Lab Portrait" or the "Kerrigan Ghost Lab" unit itself for looking on it's "Model - Portrait" field, or something like that on Actors/Models and you'll find the model itself and the addition (which is the Storymode model I told you)
you have to adjust water height. On the Terrain module, there's an option for editing the water, or you can go to the Water section on the Data module.
You can use this to find the textures a model is using. Sometimes, don't know why, some textures are not listed on the Cutscene module. Maybe some missing reference or anything like that. This may be your problem so go check with this tool your model to see if you have all of the textures. Just drag the model over it and it's done. There's no need of preserving the _SC2 if will create.
It's the method I use anytime I want to retexture a model. But it has some cons; flo has to update it for several Heroes/Void models (Storm Artanis, for example) as it's not working. I'd do it by myself if I knew how to -.-
If what you want is just to swap the textures and light/particle effects, you could just use PrintIn m3 addon for Blender. You just have to convert the model to .xml via the .py file and edit it with any text editor, I use Notepad. Just search for "Assets" and "color" to find any asset related stuff and particle system/lightning colors and swap it to what you want. You can simply use any hex coloring tool for viewing the color you want to place, I use colorhexa.com. When you've done the editing you want to, just revert the .xml to .m3 via the other .py and it's done. EDIT: Don't know how to get ridf of this greenish color text -.-

If that's the error you get hich doesn't allow to see the .dds (red/blue square) you just have to save, close and re-open the map.

I THINK he has used the new kinetic effects for the orbs.

Now you can, don't think if it's thanks to LotV. You just have to look at how the Revive of the Purifier Zealot is done.

You can just place No Pathing zones via the correct tool on the Terrain module.

Tychus seems to be also a commander: KerriganCommander_Lock2Tychus00.ogg
Maybe an infested version of it? Would pay for it XD
