    I agree with you 110%. Basically what you said is that there are 3 main aspects to make a map popular:

    1. The map has new things that people never saw before

    2. Achievements

    3. Advertising

    I believe 1 and 3 are the hardest, while #2 is just a matter of time. Also, if anyone has any ideas for #1 (for survival games) then just tell me so :p Thank you everyone

    I am working on a big update, many of the things you mentioned are fixed or made better. Will post some new screen shots once I finish the update.

    As for leaderboard: Any ideas on what I should name the income stuff (rather than mineral inc, terrazine inc, or gas inc)

    Hey everyone, I released my arcade map "Protect The Fortress" a couple of days ago, and I want it to be popular, I see that there are some people who play it without me, but most people play it when i play it. I posted here on SC2mapster, on battle.net, and team liquid. Are there any other good places I should post about my map? Or are there other ways to make it popular? The map is polished, has no bugs, and I update it frequently.

    posted a message on New Arcade Map - Protect The Fortress

    Hey everyone, I am happy to announce that I recently finished my arcade map. The map is currently playable in the arcade.

    What is this map?

    Survival Map. Features many towers along with a number of heroes. In order to win you have to stay alive for amount chosen in-game.

    How do I play?

    Gameplay is easy to learn. You start off with a hero and SCV (named Awesome Engineer). The SCV is capable of building many different towers. But, most of the towers need tiers to be upgraded. Weak towers do not require tiers, but stronger towers do. Heroes and their abilities play a big role in surviving.

    What types of towers are there?

    There are 5 types of towers:

    • Mineral Towers - Costs Minerals, and give minerals once they kill a unit.
    • Gas Towers - Costs Gas, and give Gas once they kill a unit.
    • Terrazine Towers - Costs Terrazine, and give Terrazine once they kill a unit.
    • Unique Towers - Costs Minerals, Gas, Terrazine, these towers have high health and deal a lot of damage. They Cost a lot too.*
    • Special Towers - Costs Minerals, gas, and/or Terrazine, depending on the tower, these towers do not deal damage, but can give buffs to nearby towers or just simply block the way.*

    Any other things?

    Yes, there are upgrades for the towers and income upgrades for each resource. But, upgrades for each type of tower will cost a different resource. For example: An upgrade for mineral towers would not cost minerals but Terrazine And this also applies to economy. Example: Improving your mineral income would not cost minerals but Vespene Gas.

    Is that all?

    Not at all, there is also resource trading between you and a "bank". Example: If you have 3,000 Minerals but 100 Terrazine, and you need more Terrazine, you can just simple go to the bank and trade Minerals for Terrazine.

    Any known problems or bugs?

    I was able to fix all known bugs, so as of typing this there are none. Problems: Hero needs more abilities - coming soon!

    My English is not the best, but I hope you try out and like it. Please give a high rating along with Suggestions/feedback - they are the only things that keep me going, many of the features that you will see are from suggestions from players.

    And if you are going to leave a review please make it a positive one with suggestions, the map was published yesterday and so problems are expected.

    I was able to fix it.... the hard way.... and somewhat cheap way So what I did was that i made a new trigger, put the max votes stuff as a local variable and made an if then statement. in the If part, i put all the possibilities of tie breakers, and in the then i set it to one of the choices (i.e if u have a tie breaker between anything u would have choice B) and in the else section i made it run the regular trigger (which i set to initially off) (which basically sees which one has the most votes and applies it)

    And i am not the best with triggers, so I do not really understand what you were trying to say :p - if u explain it, i will put in my map and remove my way.
